three

i have felt the butterflies dance,
i have stumbled with my words,
i have blushed at your smile,
but I've always wondered where
the line between crushing on
someone and falling in love goes.

i wonder what it's like
to love someone with
all you've got, to no
longer see straight,
and to ache for someone
despite their mistakes.

i wonder what it's like
to fall for someone,
even for their flaws,
their aggressive moods
and their mysterious hearts.

i wonder what it's like to
love someone, to allow
someone to have your
heart, to have someone
make your darkest days
seems just a little bit bright.

they say you accept the love
you think you deserve, and i wonder
what love that belongs to me.
