Chapter Two
As I walked up to Cheryl’s front door merrily I started to feel my heart pounding in my chest at the prospect of seeing my love again. I never thought I’d be so happy to see someone I’m with everyday but Cheryl made this possible. Her infectious smile and joy for life always made her wonderful to be around and the centre of my world. Okay so maybe I was more in love with her than she thought; we’d never said the love words to each other in relation to our relationship yet. We had always said them as a friendly meaning but since we’d been together neither of us spoke them in case one got the wrong meaning.
I now know how much I’d loved her and that was unconditionally, without a doubt, like I said- centre of my world. Cheryl was having fun in our relationship I knew that alright, I knew she really liked me and wished me no harm but I didn’t know what she really felt. Ever since I’d met her she had kept her inner feelings guarded. The media had always said she showed her feelings too much, especially when she cried on the X Factor but I knew that was only surface feelings, she never really dealt with any other emotions. I’m not sure if that was on purpose or she never realised but she would never tell me what she really thought, what she really felt about me. Although I can’t talk I never told her that I loved her, in retrospect I wish I would have done it sooner maybe I could have avoided all my heartache now.
As I knocked on my sweets door it didn’t take long before it swung open and she appeared grinning wearing only her white fluffy dressing gown.
“Come on in,” she said waving me inside.
As she closed her door I raised my eyebrow at her
“Why are you wearing that?” I said.
“I’m not ready yet, you’re early,” she giggles.
I quickly look at my wrist watch to check.
“Only by 10 minutes,”
I must have looked confused because she let out a loud laugh and kissed me.
“Don’t worry I’ll be down in a minute just need to put some clothes on,” she says and starts to walk over to the stairs in front of us.
“You mean you’re naked under there? Can we party here instead!” I giggled eyeing her up.
“Oi you! No we can’t! We can party here after the party,” she smiles and runs up the stairs and disappears from view.
“You’re such a tease!” I shout up the stairs. I giggle to myself as I start to move away from the stairs.
I hear Cheryl shout a reply but can’t understand what she says, but I can imagine!
I smile to myself, happy as Larry as I make my way into her living room. I know her little house so well now it’s like a second home so I make myself comfortable on the sofa and sigh. I see she’s left Vogue on the coffee table so I reach forward and start to flick through while I wait. It doesn’t take that long before I can hear a rush of footsteps coming down the stairs.
“I’m just getting me shoes!” she shouts and dashes through the living room into next door, the kitchen.
“What the hell are they doing in there?” I say amused.
“I left them here by accident, never mind I’m ready now,” she says and emerges from the kitchen.
She looks stunning, it’s the only word that would describe her. Her long brown hair lies in loose locks and her face wears only enough make-up so she doesn’t feel bare. Her lithe body is covered in a white and blue dress which cuts off at the knee and her bag and shoes match perfectly.
“Wow!” is all I can say and I dump the magazine back on the table.
“Come on now close your mouth, I don’t look THAT good!” she giggles and walks over.
“Yes you do,” I says sounding totally whipped!
She simply lets out a little giggle and shrugs her shoulders happily and walks over to the door.
“You coming or not?”
“Not yet but I hope I will be tonight!” I say quietly to myself as we leave the house on our night out.
