Chapter Four

The night progressed nicely and after an hour our drinking was catching up with us. I started to feel a little floaty and my head was slightly dizzy. I looked over at Cheryl who was dancing on her seat. We had yet to get up and dance, preferring to drink instead but as I watched her I knew she wanted to get up. However I didn’t feel like I could stand so I offered a suggestion.
“Hey babe?” I says tapping her on the shoulder.
“Yeah,” she grins.
“Why don’t you go on the floor and dance. I know you want to,” I smile trying to look my most sober.
“Awww it’s no fun if you don’t come,” she pouts and gives me her puppy dog eyes.
“No really you go, I’ll watch from here. Not in the mood to dance tonight really,”
“If you say so,” she says and wanders off.

It really wasn’t fair that when Cheryl gets drunk she simply becomes more alive whereas I nearly die. I hate being drunk I don’t know why I do it to myself I always feel terrible. The head rush really wasn’t helping.
I lean back on the sofa and rest my head backwards and close my eyes. The music still thumps around me but the inside of my eyelids still flash with bright lights. I leave myself there for 5 minutes, then realising I must look like I’m asleep I sit myself up again properly and open my eyes very slowly.
It takes a few moments to adjust to the light again but the dizziness has gone, so good bonus. It doesn’t take me long to spot Cheryl she’s dancing away merrily. But hang on who THE HELL is THAT!?

I spot some guy dancing up behind her looking like he’s having the time of his life. *Bar Steward*! But hang on what’s happening now? Cheryl’s...She’s...She looks like she’s enjoying it, what the fcuk!?
Cheryl suddenly turns to face the guy and she smiles. He takes this as a cue and leans over and plants a kiss on her lips. My mind is going berserk and I can start to feel my blood boil.
Right I’d had enough I grab my handbag and storm over. I whack the *Bar Steward* on the back with my hand bag and glare at him. He pulls back from Cheryl’s lips and gives me a look to say he doesn’t know what’s going on.
“LEAVE!” I shout at him not even looking at Cheryl I don’t care what she’s doing right now.
“Why should I?” he says puffing his chest out a little.
“She’s mine back OFF!” I shout over the music.
“I’d say she was enjoying that,” he smirks.
“Fcuk off!” I don’t normally swear but being incredibly drunk and very p!ssed off was really not helping the matter.
He shrugs and leaves realising he may have met his match.
I turn to Cheryl with fire in my eyes. I look at her intensely then storm off into the toilets.
