I sat in the hospital bed for a few hours until I decided to get up. I hadn't looked at the damaged that Cory did to me till now. I looked in the mirror and I couldn't believe what I saw. My eye was black and swollen, I had a large gash on my lip, a large bruise on my face and on my side. I slide to the ground and started to cry. The realization that I will die, and I had to pick way I die. I got to my feet despite the pain that ran through my whole body; I ran to Atlas and Crystal, maybe they could help me.
When Crystal saw me she gasped and dropped the book she was holding, Atlas just ran over to me with no words and was examining my wounds.
" Trilogy we had to get you to the hospital." Atlas said as he ran his hand down my face.
"Where do you think I just came from?"
" what do you mean?" He said in a hesitate voice.
" I got punished by Cory, I told them about Arthur."
Crystal just covered her mouth and slid to the ground and began to sob loudly. Atlas just gave me a steady stare.
" don't worry I didn't tell them that you guys was with me, that's why I got the living crap beat out of me."
Atlas gently pushes down on my shoulder to make me sit down. It did hurt, my body was still sore from the beating I took. I let out a gasp in pain, he quickly jumped back, I could tell he was trying to be gentle so he wouldn't hurt me.
He cleared his throat and said, "tell us our punishment, you aren't dying alone because all of us."
I felt a small bit of relief come over me, at least I knew my friends wasn't going to let me die alone. But either way we are going to die.
I was still holding back tears I gently said, " front lines or trial."
Crystals picked up an odd book and I've never seen a more serious look on her face when she said, "we are going to a Arthur's grave now".
None of us questioned her, we was going to die either way so it didn't matter if we snuck out one more time.
Every step I took was torture to my already sore body. But we got there the fastest we ever have.
"Alright crystal what's the plan?" Questioned Atlas in a unsure voice.
That's when crystal pulled out an old book that had an odd symbol on the front.
"Witchcraft?" I didn't know what else to say that's all I could think
"Yes, I've been practicing for a little bit; I wouldn't dare to tell anyone though I would be hung for sure. "
She began to flip through the pages and cleared her throat and said, "okay I need you guys to gather a couple things, they will be hard to find but I know you'll manage."
Atlas and I shook are heads in agreement.
"Okay you'll need to find blood berries and a clear crystal."
Atlas look at me and said, " you're hurt so find the berries they shouldn't be to hard to find, I'll find the stone."
I just shook my head and walked off.
Finding those berries was such a tedious task. They are so tiny and even if you do find them it was only one or two. I walked around for about a half hour. This was the furthest I've ever been from the village. I've never felt so safe in my life. I was away from all the fighting, away from all the bloody wounded coming in after every fight, away from the elders, and I was away from the grave.
I finally stumbled upon a good patch of blood berries. I was careful to pick each one, making sure I didn't bust them. When blood berries bust the red thick juice will stain everything and is nearly impossible to get off.
I finally got a good little sash full and began my journey back to Atlas and Crystal.
When I got back the sun had started to set. Atlas was already back and he was holding a small clear stone. When he saw me he looked relieved.
" thank goodness, we thought the bone collectors got you too."
I chuckled a little, "no, just couldn't find these little sucker."
Crystal had a fire built, with a large black pot on it. She motioned me over to her, "put all the berries in the pot."
I put each little red berry into the boiling water. I was trying to figure out what she was planning.
Crystal began to speak, "from red blood, to new life, rise again, speak to us, tell us what you've seen."
She took the clear stone and dropped it into the pot. She picked it back up and it was dyed completely red.
She then took a knife and slide it down her arm, the blood began to dripped down her arm. She wiped some of it onto the red stone and placed it onto the grave.
An odd glow began to admit form the grave. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Arthur standing in front of us.
Atlas hit the ground in disbelief, he began to sob. "My dear friend your back your back."
Arthur was looking at his hands and was looking at us. He finally spoke.
" I know how to stop this war, I saw the end of the war."
He looked at me, " Trilogy why didn't you save me, it hurt so bad, I trusted you and you let me down."
" Arthur I'm sorry I...." before I could finished he cut me off.
" sorry doesn't bring me back does it?"
"No but Arthur I'm getting a punishment, please help me decide how to die, help us all."
He looked at all threes of us.
" I will help you guys win the war, choose front lines."
We looked at each other in disbelief, could he really help us? Or are we trusting a dastardly demon looking for vengeance.
