Circle TestYou can tell a lot about your personality and your outlook on life simply by drawing three circles (or rings) to represent your past, present and future says a social psychologist.
“Over seventeen years I’ve given the “circle test” for thousands of people and found it to be very simple way to gain insight into one’s personality.” Declared Tulane University social psychologist Frederick Keeing.
Here’s how to take the test, and Dr. Keeing’s interpretation of what your circle means
Start by drawing three circles on a plain sheet of paper; arrange them any way you want—linked together or separate—but be sure to make one to represent your past, one your present and another your future.
Here’s what the circles can tell you:
• If your three circles are fairly equal in size, you’re a reasonably stable person with an easy-going approach to life. Your tend to take each day as it comes, and you don’t suffer any guilt or regret about everything in your past.
• If your circle representing your past is the largest, you’re a reflective person who values privacy and learns from the past mistakes. Also your family and background are tremendously important to you.
• If the circle representing your present is largest, you’ll lead a busy life and rarely have time for everything you’d like to do. You’re the kind of person who enjoys “today” and does not believe in postponing pleasures until tomorrow.
• If your circle representing your future is the largest, you’re likely to be an optimist who believes things will get better for you as time passes. You’re willing to postpone pleasures.
• If your past circle is the smallest, you tend to be a “self-made” person. You’re content with your condition today and confident about your future.
• If your present circle is the smallest, you tend to be an intellectual and very technical thinking person, and you apt to let your head rule your heart. You’re inquisitive and culture lover.
• If your future circle is the smallest, you’re likely to be a happy person, content with your present career.
Finally, if your three circles overlap or touch each other, you tend to plan ahead and you apt to stick with something, once you’ve started it. But if your circles are separate, you’re probably a free spirit who is likely to leave things a chance.
