Midnight memories (One Directional Mix)

Chapter 4

HARRY POV:

I started to drive back to the party after I sent Perrie and Jade home safely. I never thought this would happen again, after we parted ways. We have been both busy with our careers. The girls are on their way to stardom, I am sure with that. The lads and I probably taking solo career, as Zayn started a few months ago after he left without any words to us. Talking about Zayn, I feel bad for Perrie. After all she have been, we've witnessed their upside down relationship. Everyone of us was shocked when we heard the news. I tried to contact Zayn and Perrie before but none of them responded. I completely understood certain rumors wasn't true, but tonight's event confirmed it all. 

Perrie's eyes are all in blank stare, no emotion or anything. It seems like feeling the pain from her gaze and pretentious actions. She keep shielding her sadness from teasing and laughing. But she still the same person I've known before, her ability to light up someone's mood. She's jolly and happy to be with. Maybe, starting from this day on, I wanted to be there for her. For them. They were my friends, and still they are. I've missed a lot lately and I'm ready to catch up with them. 

I wanted to save this relationship we have now. The boys and I have not been together for quite awhile. 

It's past eleven o'clock, and I pulled off. I parked my car besides Louis range rover and head out. I went inside, and take the elevator to 7th floor. The glass door  automatically opened and I saw few people who are still here partying.

I go straight where the lads are, Jesy and Leigh Anne still with them talking and laughing.

"Hey, you've missed the best part of the party.", Jesy approached me handling a drink.

"Thanks.", I smile.

"So what's the thing that I've missed? You probably thank me, I drove your friends home safely.", I said teasingly as I sat on the the couch.

"Oh, bout that.. Thank you Harry,", she smile back.

"You missed to watch Leigh Anne dancing on the pole!", Louis tapped my shoulder as he's telling me happily.

Leigh Anne grinned. She is now hovering through the pole and started to dance seductively. Maybe, everyone wants an entertainment to watch.

"Jesy, I think you should tell Leigh Anne to sit down first", I whisper to Jesy.

She just smirk and join Leigh Anne in dancing.

This is crazy, but entertaining. Niall join them and started to climbed on the pole like a toxic koala. We burst into a laughter as they are showing off. Then everyone joined to a force, I leaned on the couch as I watched them shake their asses of. I can't help not to laugh, especially when Louis and Liam started a sexy dance to each other. Touching each other arms, oh this is a one hell of a night! I bet if Perrie and Jade still here, I probably head home alone coz' I can't carry them all one by one and drive them home. They are the craziest yet happiest company I ever met. 

Jesy stopped dancing and went over to my side and take her sit. 

"Are you tired exercising?" I teased her while I heard her deep breathing probably from laughing hard and moving.

"Yah, I think it made me less intoxicated. ", she chuckles

"Good for you. I will do that later." I said.

"Anyways, Jes. How have you been? and the girls lately?", I added as starting a topic.

"Good. There's nothing changed except with our schedules." she replied as she hold her glass of wine sassily.

"What about your schedule?", I ask again as if I wanna find out more about what they're doing.

"Glory Days Tour for a month. You know, for our 4th album released last week. I promise you, this is exciting but keep pressuring us." she exclaimed

"I know how you feel. You can do it. I wish the best of luck for all of you.", 

"The problem is, Perrie.", she said that lead me into confusion.

"What about Perrie?" I asked again having no second thoughts.

"She is still holding back. I mean, even she doesn't say anything.. We all know, her mind is out of nowhere. Sometimes she forget her lyrics or the steps we are making during our choreography. She seems lost, Haz. This afternoon, I force her to come here. We've thought she will be doing okay, but when our latest song release, she start to act weird. She said she wanted more sleep. She's been stubborn lately,", she sighed in frustration.

I am stunned with Jesy's revelation. I never thought it that way. Maybe the song reminds her about painful memories, even it delivers a happy heart break and moving on messages, I think it's not what is happening in reality. Perrie still lost without Zayn.

"I don't know what to say, Jes. I thought she's been doing okay. I am sorry about Perrie.", I tell her with sympathy.

"Actually, if I was in her shoe I don't know what to do. You see, who have thought a 2 year engagement had called of without any explanation at all, and the man you ever loved just broke up with you through text?" she said in a voice louder. 

I am shocked with another information, I never heard before.

"What?! A fucking simple message?" I burst into a rage. I can't even imagine Zayn would do that. Why, Zayn. Fucking Zayn, who lost becoming a man.

"You don't know, do you?" she furrowed her eyebrows looking at me.

"How should I know? I've been reaching out for them to answer my phone calls. Even when I was away. Fucking Malik, made the wrong move." I cursed.

Jesy just sighed and sat in silence. The joyful moment changed into frustration and sadness. Maybe, that is why they never go out again with us during our spare time. If only Zayn has been honest towards us, maybe we helped him fix his mind and not turn into such a dick.

Liam, Louis, Niall and Leigh Anne are still having fun. when they consciously noticed our frustrated/ angry faces.

"Hey, are you both okay? What did you do Haz?" Liam asked me as she notice Jesy's pouting in sadness.

Then Jesy started to frown and laugh a little because of their wrong thoughts.

"Are you saying, we look like we fight each other?" Jesy said to Liam

They are still confused.

"It's nothing. We just talked about something earlier. Don't be silly, Daddy D" I teased Liam and smirking at him. 

"You're crazy." Liam said as he poke my head. 

We started to have fun again, and wash Zayn out of my head.

My worry grow bigger when I think about Pez. How is she coping up? What have she thought when she found it out? Fucking Zayn. I never thought I will be having a fucking asshole friend. But now, he is definitely out from my friend lists.

We stayed in the party for a couple more hours. Then Leigh Anne and Jesy decided to call it a night. Few people still there, but us six people headed on our way out.

"We should accompany you getting home." Louis inform the 2 girls. 

And I think it is a good idea, because they're both drunk but slightly doze off from dancing earlier. They both agreed. We started to drive our own cars, and trailed Jesy and Leigh Anne. We first accompany Leigh Anne before Jesy. We bid our goodbyes and hug each other. 

After we convoy the girls, the boys and I parted ways as we said our farewell to each other. 

I never been a good man in the past, especially with my past relationships. But now, I am doing what I think is right. I've learned a lot from my mistakes. I've learned to treat a woman right. I will never do stupid things like what Zayn did. Even I am an ass in the past, he is probably more worse than me. I never do that to the girl I loved. If you wanted to break, be a man to face it. 

I sighed.

I think I need more time for my friend, Perrie. I hope she will listen to me. I hope I can help her release herself from her agony.
