Getting Comfortable
The car is on the road and has been for about 10 minutes. Creating an awkward silence between you and the guy.
'My names' Sniper.' The man says breaking the silence, smiling casually and watching the road, keeping one hand to control the steering wheel. Your mouth lightly drops a little realising that this guy is "the Sniper" off the blu team. No wonder why he is wearing parts of blue on his outfit. Luckily you signed up to be in the blu team team, and not the red team, otherwise this would be extremely awkward.
'Hi, nice to meet you.' You say turning your head to look out the window.
'So what's your name, hon?' His Australian accent made me twist my head back to look at him.
'Oh, my name is Selena.' You say realising you must sound pretty weird right now. He slowly nods, smiling, and keeping his sight on the road. You took this silence as an opportunity to examine what he's wearing. Sniper is wearing a blue tank top underneath a dark grey coat and long really dark blue pants. He is wearing these browny gold tinted shades, with a light brown hat. The kind of hat that lifts on one side, which was my side, revealing his dark brown hair, he has longish side burns, and a slim but strong body structure. Sniper realises your staring at him.
'Somethin' caught your eye, dear?' He asks in a casual voice, still smiling and looking at the road ahead.
'Oh, no! Nothing.' You say trying to sound casual and turn your head to look out the window, lightly blushing.
'That's good, then.' Sniper says in the same tone and expression. Soon the conversation went into silence for a couple of minutes. Until it was broken once again by Sniper. 'So, you're signing up for the Fortress, right?' He asks looking around the landscape and using his other hand to scratch the light stubble on his chin.
'Yeah, actually I'm signing up to be a member in the blu team.' You say, immediately seeing Sniper's face light up a little from the corner of your eye.
'Oh, that's great! Welcome to the team!' He says holding out his hand that's not controlling the wheel. You smile and shake it, his hand was stern and quick. Cleary feeling like he's been experienced with a big gun, most likely his sniper rifle you saw in the back. He shook your hand, then smiled and placed his hand back, to hang between his legs comfortably. He then made a turn on the road to another street, using both hands on the steering wheel. 'It won't be too long now.' Sniper said in a causal voice. Both of you smile. After a few minutes you lean back on your chair getting comfortable as you were getting a little tired. Sniper saw that you were doing this and leaned his arm over you, pulling lightly at the seat switch and made the seat tilt back a little, creating a comfortable position specifically for when someone wants to sleep. He takes his arm back.
'Thank you.' You say sweetly and smiling at him. He turns his head and looks down at you, smiling.
'That's fine, hon.' He says in a soft but deep voice. You shut your eyes because they were feeling heavy. Every time you thought of something it always went back to hearing Sniper's husky Australian voice.
You didn't get to property sleep as you two arrived, but at least you got to rest.
'Alright.' Sniper says in his low, husky but happy voice, as he pulled the brake. 'I parked in Engie's garage because I don't want to wake anyone up.' He whispers looking around outside the windows for anyone. You slowly sit up and look around, leading your eyes back to Sniper. You don't yet question who "Engie" is.
'Where do we go now, Sniper?' You ask him whispering back. He turns his head to look at you, unbuckling his seatbelt.
'I'm going to show you your room now, Selena.' Sniper says smiling as he opens the door and steps out. You unbuckle and grab your bag, stepping out and lightly shutting the door. Sniper lightly shuts his door also and walks around to your side.
'C'mon.' Sniper says to you whispering and leading you at your speed to a big blue building, which you're guessing is your new base. Sniper stops at the big double doors and looks left and right cautiously. 'Ok, listen up, hon.' You step closer to be next to him. He turns his body to be shoulder to shoulder to you. 'This is the code you will have to memorise for our team's building.' Sniper typed in the numbers [1... 1... Then lastly... 1]. The doors pop open a little. You don't even question, but you make a confused face to Sniper. 'I know, but I didn't make the code, hon.' You laugh, which lead Sniper to laugh as well, trying to keep it to a minimum.
