It was October, to be more specific Monday, October 3rd. Fall was starting as leaves start invading the ground and the chilly breeze Nick always enjoyed. Mainly because that chilly breeze brought hoodies and sweatpants along with it.

He also liked fall for the colors that come along with it and the magic it brings he believes. Sometimes he thinks it's more magical than Christmas but then laughs at that silly thought. And as always, after fall is winter and Christmas is right around the corner.

Since he had off today from school he got to walk around the city. He loved New York City, especially when he walks through an area which there are tall, skinny apartments with a single tree planed in between each apartment on the sidewalk. It is pleasing to him and relieve his anxiety.

The breeze got a little stronger than usual as he brushed his not so curly black hair away from his face. It wasn't that his hair wasn't curly, the true fact was that whenever his hair got longer the more curlier and the more damage control he had to do.

He walked down the street in tall, semi-skinny jeans with a plain dark gray shirt with a black, kind of heavy jacket that was unzipped at that time. He liked to, hopefully, look like he was fashionable but made sure he never went too crazy. Doesn't want to be compared to another "New York City Hippy."

An unusual detail about Nick was his wings. Nick had a big pair of black wings coming out of his shoulder blades. It freaks out Nick but he's gotten used to it by now. He was always told by his parents that he was born with it as Nicks mind always agreed with them knowing that he's felt them for forever. He always wore a tight black shirt to keep them from prodding out of his back making anyone that notices question. He doesn't want that going around his school.

One ear bud in, always in his left ear, listening to Kendrick Lamar before it moved to something more smoother which was Jeremih. He didn't want to look like a fool bouncing to the beat, so he shoved his hand into his jacket pocket and tapped to the beat.

The breeze hit again, stronger than the first time, feeling it in his wings as he shook his back a little to get rid of the weird feeling.

God, I hate cold wings

He thinks as he hears someone breathing heavily and heard footsteps moving rapidly, stomping on the sidewalk. He assumed it was another jogger, it was 15:00(3PM) so he continued forward.

He decided to pick up the pace, maybe to intimidate the runner to have the runner move faster. But he eventually realized and slowed down when he heard,

"Nick! Hey, Nick!" Nick heard someone said as he looked back.

Nick turned around to see Maureen, running towards him with her curly brown hair bouncing furiously each step she took. She wore a dark brown shirt which blended in with her slightly lighter skin. She had an infinity scarf on with some running shoes and black leggings to finish off the outfit. When Maureen caught up with Nick, who stopped on the sidewalk, quickly adjusting her knitted white infinity scarf. She then looked at Nick, her face showing confusion and asked,

"What's wrong, you look like your in a daze," stated Maureen.

"Nothings wrong, I'm a bit tired," Nick said with an awkward chuckle.

It wasn't that he was in a daze, but he was surprised to see Maureen out, so far away from her apartment in the chilly weather. He knew she hated the chilly weather and Nick knew it must be important, in her mind, to be meeting him like this.
