Nyla sat on her bed feeling antsy. How could she go to sleep after he left. While she had only traveled with Jonathon for almost a week or so, she realized she didn't mind being with him. Not in a romantic way--Heaven's no. Rather she felt like she finally belonged somewhere. She felt like she had someone who watched her back, who wanted to teach her new things. She felt like her life had finally been acknowledged.
Now she felt left out. Pouting on her bed, she toyed with the shoelaces on the work boots she "borrowed" from one of the maids downstairs. She'd return them after going on a walk. Granted she knew that this walk would lead her to the area the Honorable Baron would be at. Hopefully Jon wouldn't be too mad at her.
