Once upon a time there was a Tree. But you can bet it was not an ordinary tree. Not like those boring, only green, standing ones with only one kind of fruit. This was GMT and that means a really special tree and his name was Eduard.
He was quite tall for his age (only 70 you know!) and he had the most extraordinary display of leaves, fruits...ok just to be clear in imagination. He had apples of course, but pears too and raspberries. He was certainly not short on needles as well as on leaves. And in the last decade he was a proud bearer of pinecone! Sure there was just one on him, but hey, it's better than none. And according Eduard it was magnificent!
Did I mention that this tree was special? It was not just because of his berries but also because he...and that's really important...could speak and walk! Eduard the Tree was not an ordinary planted tree. No, no. He was with love and scientific overseeing genetically modified! To be specific he was Genetically Modified Tree. GMT for friends. And now I'm sure it makes sense that he could walk, talk and also read! But that, my dear, was his secret that changed his life in lab-garden once and for all. Because one day in the middle of a boring night he found the Book and found out he is not the only one!
