Prologue *

Three years.

Three full years have passed since Harry and Melanie put a definite end to their forbidden yet passionate affair.

Ambitious and determined, keen on leaving all her passed where it belongs; in her passed, nineteen year old Melanie Malik courageously returns to her home; Manhattan, New York alongside her boyfriend, Leo to study art in the university of New York she was fortunately accepted into.

Everything for once is going right in Melanie's life, after her tormented final years of high school Melanie seems to find herself at peace. She has a future set for her, a caring boyfriend and a set loving of parents. Nothing could disturb that bliss.

Surely New York was far too large to ever cross paths with someone whom you haven't seen for so long... wrong.

Charming, mysterious and narcissistic thirty-one year old Harry Styles seemed to have almost forgotten about the young adolescent he was once wrongfully involved with. His lack of emotions helped him forget most of her memory, but not all, and the day they reunite they all the fading memories of one another seem to flash back in both of their heads in an instant.

Although Harry's intentions of having the even more mature looking version of Melanie at his feet, begging for him to take her whenever he pleased were evident, Melanie on the other hand was committed to keep their re-acquaintance strictly platonic, remembering how much Harry had mercilessly hurt her when she let her feelings get involve. As anyone could have imagined; after many suggestive times together, they simply couldn't restrain themselves from each other, the temptation and desire far too powerful from them to not subdue to.

Keeping his feelings out of the situation was an effortless task for Harry to handle, but it wasn't as easy for young, naive Melanie.

Once Melanie realizes her old feelings of love and admiration for the older man that once bruised her sensitive heart were slowly creeping its way back into her life, she simply couldn't deny them to herself, and quite frankly she didn't know if she wanted to. Now that she was of age, Melanie hoped that perhaps she has a chance of being not Harry's lover, but also his companion in the journey called life.

But it wasn't that simple, love was never simple, at least not in their case.

Will Harry finally be able to open his cold, hostile heart to the girl who possibly loves him more than her own life, or will her heart be damned to ache in pain again?

Not only that, but will they have to also be faced with greater challenges and obstacles to find out how much their hearts can really take?
