Melanie

"All flights to Miami will be boarding in five minutes."

Getting up earlier than I would for class is bad enough, but the fact that the weather decided to suddenly switch lanes and get extremely cold this morning was worse. I had to uncomfortably put on three layers of clothes to keep me warm because it seems as if this airports air conditioning is broken considering it's not any warmer in here than it is outside.

In my half asleep state I feel Harry's shoulder which I'm leaning on start to budge and shake me fully awake. "Babe," he whispers. "Babe, our flight is about to board."

I groan and hide my face in the crook of his warm neck at the mere thought of having to get up again and carry my reasonably heavy bag. We each only have one large duffle bag since we're only going to visit my parents for the weekend and we shall be back to New York by Sunday night, but because I could never be too prepared I stuffed my bag to its full capacity, perhaps a little over that too.

"I'll carry your bag into the plane, you need to get up, baby." Harry offers as I feel him become absent from my side and I suddenly feel extremely empty and cold once again.

"No," I whine, leaning up and rubbing my tired and most likely red, irritated eyes. "I'll carry my bag." I say in a small, hoarse voice and watch as Harry grabs onto my heavy bag and picks it up, even seeming to become a little lopsided because my bag is much heavier than his.

"Darling, seriously, we're going to be the last ones to board the plane if we don't get in line now." He warns.

I nod, walking hastily to find us a close space up front in the line as I rub my makeup-less face out of its slumber and Harry follows me a bit more slowly considering he carries double the weight he should be. Although I feel bad for him carrying my bag I won't protest because I'm so tired I can barely carry my own weight.

We show our plane tickets and passports to the security guard that waits to mark the boarders off at the front of the tunnel which leads into the plane. My passport photo was so bad I thought the man wouldn't recognize me but luckily he did and we made it into the plane.

Naturally, Harry got us first class seats where it was luckily more warmer than it would usually be in the back so I felt satisfied enough to take one out of my three coats off. I helped Harry place our bags into the top cabin before we took a seat next to one another, I next to the window and Harry next to me.

"Shít, sorry." Harry hastily murmurs warily when his elbow hits me right in the rib cage causing me to hiss in pain as he takes his thick coat off leaving him in a leafy pattern button up blouse.

"It's fine." I answer between grit teeth as I wince in slight pain. I don't blame Harry, but it just had to be on the ribcage where I still had a bruise.

About two hours later we heard the captain speak through the speakers. Captain Laurel speaking, we thank you all for your patience as we took off. The skies seem to have cleared which means you can all use your electronic and cellular devices. I'll be back to announce our landing within a short hour. Please continue to enjoy the journey."

I shifted uncomfortably in my limited space. I absolutely hate plane rides. Not only are they long and boring, the seats give major neck cramps and this dumb neck pillow which I idiotically bought did not help soothe the pain one bit. My foot has fallen asleep which gave me an icky sensation and I was too afraid if I take out my phone everything would go haywire with the plane system. I'm just very paranoid lately.
