Melanie"You're what!?"
Damnit, Melanie. I mentally scold myself for blurting out such prediction and forward thinking without any sort of confirmation first. I haven't even taken a test yet so I don't know for sure. The only clues that have lead me to this conclusion is I sometimes feel nauseous in the morning and my period is nearly a week late, but at the same time my period is irregular so I don't know what to even think.
I fan out my cheeks in distress as Harry continues to gawk at me with a look of bewilderment, his lips left parted. "I-I-I don't know for sure," I nervously chuckle. "I... I haven't even taken a test so it could just be a scare." I attempted to assure him and myself.
Harry wasn't taking it as a scare, he was freaking out, probably more than me.
He suddenly gets up off his chair and rises to his full tall and superior height. "We have to go," he pushes his seat pushes back and leaves it slanted without care before walking around the table until he makes it to my side, grabbing me by the hand and abruptly yanking me up to my feet. "Now." He sternly demands, his eyes flashing.
I don't protest against his orders, knowing I'm the reason I've completely ruined his spot on attempted of being romantic with my suspicions of an unplanned pregnancy. I simply let him guide me back onto the boat that was going to take off in the next long and anticipated five minutes. But even when the boat took off on the water road back to safer lands, I could Harry was trying his best to keep himself composed. The consistent tapping of his right foot and the nibbling of his bottom lip were all signs of his impatience. I couldn't quite tell if he was enraged or nervous, perhaps all emotions the lie on both sides of the spectrum crumbling all on him at once.
Once we made back on the bay Harry was quick to take a hold of my wrist and drag me along side him, not caring if he was pushing past people because he was so determined to reach his car as soon as possible.
"Harry, slow down." I finally speak yet my voice is small and cowardly as we reach his car and he swiftly pulls his keys out from his pocket, pushes down on the button with his thumb and the car unlocks.
Harry doesn't respond, instead he forcefully yanks the passenger door open for me with a stern yet blank expression. He doesn't wait for me to get in to close the door for me like he usually does and instead hurriedly makes his way around to his side. He quickly starts the engine and doesn't wait a full minute for it to heat up before he speeds off but not even two miles into the city streets we find ourselves at the far end of a long traffic line.
"How could this happen, how did this happen?" He murmurs to himself in hopes of answering his own questionnaires but when he finds no response in his own head he sharply turns to me with his green eyes wide containing that were churning with all the shades of green imaginable. "Melanie, how the fuck did this happen?" His voice was slightly high but demanded answers that I did not fully have.
I warily frown my brows as I give him an equally as terrified look. "I-I don't know." I answer truthfully, wishing I had all the answers to the worlds problems to feel less stressed about this situation.
Harry's hits the pedal when the traffic moves in the slightest, but we soon come to an abrupt stop that makes the car jolt along with my already accelerated heart.
"I don't understand. You're on birth control. You are on birth control... right?" His tone lowers in suspicion as eyes suddenly narrow at me.
