French Lesson (Jianca)

BIANCA'S POV

So, Jax and I, it's complicated I guess. We're best friends, but I'm in love with him. It's painful, obviously considering he spends all his free time with Kit, and never spends it with me anymore. But whatever. I'm going to make sure he never finds out how I feel.

"Bonjour Bianca!" I hear a familiar voice call.

I turn around and I'm met with a smiling Jax.

"Jax, are you speaking French again?" I ask while laughing.

"Est-ce que tu as un plan? Je me suis perdu dans tes yeux." He says yet again in French.

"English please?"

"Je suis heureux que vous ne parlez pas français parce que vous savez que je suis en amour avec vous."

"Ugh whatever." I say as I drag him along to our first period.

To my annoyance Jax spends almost the entire day speaking French to me. Probably just stuff that Kit taught him.

I finally arrive home and immediately throw myself onto my bed, my phone getting a text in the process. I turn myself over and read it.

From: Jax

Je sais que nous sommes les meilleurs amis, mais Je t'aime

That's it. I'm finding out what everything he said to me means. There's got to be some reason he just randomly started speaking French today. I bring up google translate on my computer and plug in some of the things I remember him saying.

Est-ce que tu as un plan? Je me suis perdu dans tes yeux.

Translation to English:

Do you have a map? Because I'm lost in your eyes.

My heart instantly skips a beat at even the thought of him hitting on me. He meant it as a joke though, probably. I decide to try another one.

Je suis heureux que vous ne parlez pas français parce que vous savez que je suis en amour avec vous

Translation to English

I'm glad you don't speak French because then you'd know I'm in love with you.

Um... what? Jax isn't in love with me. Or maybe he is? He can't be, what am I saying? I just don't know why he's saying all these things to me though. Maybe to practice so that he can say it to Kit since she speaks French too. Yeah, that makes sense. Out of curiosity as to what he's going to say next to her I plug in the last one.

Je sais que nous sommes les meilleurs amis, mais Je t'aime

Translation to French

I know we're best friends, but I'm in love with you.

That doesn't sound like something he would say to Kit.

Oh my gosh.

He is in love with me. With me of all people! I need to do something about this.

I look up some more basic translations and pick up lines in French so I'll be prepared for whatever he throws at me tomorrow. Maybe this could actually end well.

The next day doesn't come soon enough, but when it does, I know I'm prepared. I arrive at school and Jax runs up to me with a cocky smirk already plastered on his face.

"Why do you look so happy?" I ask.

"Je t'aime." He replies and smirks even bigger, because he knows that saying things I can't understand annoys me.

"I love you too." I say, this time me being the one smirking.

His face immediately drops, and turns a vibrant shade of red.

"How did you-"

"Google translate." I cut him off.

He stays still for a moment, gathering his thoughts.

"Well what I said was true." He finally says.

"What I said was true too." I reply, making us both smile.

"So, puis-je t'embrasser?" He asks.

"I don't know what that means." I reply.

"Whatever, I know you'd say yes to it anyways."

"What am I saying yes to?"

"This." He replies.

Before I can process what he's doing, he puts a strand of my hair behind my ear and lightly traces my face. He then pulls me in close and plants a soft kiss on my lips, making heat radiate throughout my face.

"Woah." He says after he pulls away.

"Woah." I reply, looking down to hide my blushing face.

"So, does this mean that we're together?"

"As long as you tell me what you're saying in the future."

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a couple of days. I had horrible writer's block, but I came up with the idea for this and decided to write it. Thank you for all the support this story has gotten so far, I really appreciate it!
