(Aria's Apartment)
Aria's POV.
I woke up this morning thinking about how I might get my sister back today, by then I realised I didn't know what Marcel Gerard looked like and I also remembered that I haven't been in the quarter for almost six years so I don't even know where to start looking.
I pulled out the address that Sophie gave me and I have no idea where this is, I then remembered that Cami girl who I met yesterday and she said we were neighbours. I grabbed my bag and walked over to her apartment and knocked on her door, but I got no answer.
So I went downstairs and out of the building and hopefully I would find where he lives.
I walked down Bourbon Street and I couldn't find the building anywhere, but I suddenly stop in my tracks when I see Cami sitting in a small cafe/ bar so I go in. I walk over to her and take a seat in front of her.
"Hi Cami, I was wondering if you could help me with something?" I ask her as she takes a sip of her coffee.
"Sure, what is it?" She asks me, and I pull out the piece of paper with address on.
"I'm looking for this building, my friend said Marcel Gerard lived there. I need his help" I tell her as she studies the address.
"Yeah, I know where that is. Keep going down Bourbon Street and take your first right, then cross the road and it's the end corner building" She tells me, giving the piece of paper back.
"Thank you so much, Cami" I tell her as she starts collecting her book's.
"No problem, I have to go but I'll see you later" She tells me as she stand up and picks up her bag.
"Ok, bye" I say to her as she leaves and the waitress comes over.
"Would you like anything?" The waitress asks me, I guess I could grab something before leaving.
"Um, could I grab a coffee to go" I say to her as she writes down her order and leaves.
As I'm waiting for my coffee, someone pulls the chair out in front of me and sits in it. I look up at his face and realise it's Klaus.
"Your Klaus, that guy from last night in the cemetery?" I ask him and he nods his head with a smirk on his face.
"Yes, that's me. I heard you talking to that girl about someone called Marcel Gerard?" He says to me like he know who he is.
"Yeah, I'm looking for him, I need his help" I tell him.
"Well..." He trails off waiting for me to give my name.
"Arianna, but you can call me Aria" I tell him with a fake smile.
"Well Arianna, if you would like to talk to Marcel, here's your chance" He tells me as he motions to someone behind me. I turn around and see a dark-skinned man with a leather jacket standing behind me, so I stand up out of my chair and stand in front of him.
"Marcel Gerard, how can I be of assistance?" He asks me, and I pull out a picture of Davina when she was around ten and give it to him.
"She's my little sister Davina, she would be around sixteen now. She went missing around eight months ago in the Quarter. Sophie Deveraux told me nothing happens in the Quarter without you knowing about it so I thought you could help me" I tell him as he analyses the photograph then looks up at me.
"I'll ask around and see if anyone knows anything about her" He tells me with a kind smile.
"Thank you, keep the picture" I tell him and someone taps my shoulder and I turn round to see the waitress with my coffee.
"Here you go" She tells me as she hands me the coffee.
"Thank you" I say to her and she walks away and I turn back to Marcel.
"I'll contact you if we find anything" He tells my with another kind smile.
"Again, thank you. Bye Marcel, Klaus" I say to them before leaving the little café/ bar and heading home to rest for a little while.
After spending a few hours at home and finally having hope that I'll be seeing my little sister soon, I decided to go down to Rousseau's to have a drink and tall to Cami. I walk in and see Cami behind the bar and pouring some drinks, so I go over and sit on a stool.
"Hi Aria, you find Marcel?" Cami asks as she leans on the counter.
"Yeah, he is going to do what he can" I tell her smile on my face.
"Well, I also met Marcel today. And guess what, he asked me out for tonight" She tells me and I raise my eyebrows at her.
"Wow, you should go for it" I tell her, but she shakes her head at me.
"I don't know, I said I would consider it, so maybe" She tells me and I nod my head showing I understand. I look around the bar and I realise there's a grand piano in the corner of the room.
"Hey, Cami, does that piano work?" I ask her and she looks up at it.
"Yeah, but it just sits there" She tells me sadly.
"Could I play it?" I ask her and she looks around the bar.
"Sure, I don't see Sophie anywhere so go ahead" She tells me and I stand up and walk over to it at sit on the stool in front of it.
I blow the dust off of it and open the lid, I run my fingers over the keys and I remember the last time I played was almost six years ago before I left New Orleans. I decide to play one of my favourite songs, Ex's and Oh's by Ellie King.
It takes me around five minutes to play the full song, but it felt like the best five minutes I've had in a long time. I look up and see Cami making her way towards me.
"That was amazing" She tells me with a big smile "Um, I thought about Marcel and I said to myself, why not, everyone deserves a chance right. So, would you be able to come with me and help me pick out a dress" She asks me
And I started thinking about Marcel and how he was a vampire, but at the same time he seemed like a really nice guy when I met him.
"I would love too" I tell her, as I stood up and we made our way back to her apartment to pick out something cute to wear.
After Cami left for her date with Marcel, I walked over to my apartment and pulled out a small shoe box full of old photographs. I dug through it until I found the picture of me sitting at a piano and Davina standing behind me, we both looked so happy.
