"Hey Dal, I'm gonna go over to the Curtis's. I'll be back later, k?" I said.
"Ya, just come back soon." He smiled.

I walked up to the door and knocked. Pony answered the door again.
"Hey Nanc!" Said Ponyboy.
"Hey Pony. I'm her to tell you what's wrong." I said.
We walked into Pony's room and sat down on his bed.
"Okay, go." He said.
"Well...for the last moth Dally has been getting drunk. Really drunk. And he's been coming home way after the time he said he would be back. But when he gets home I always say that I've been worried about him. Then he thinks I'm treating him like a child and...a-and he...h-hits me sometimes.." I said, tearing up.
"Nancy! Was the bruise from him on your back?!" Asked Pony.
"Y-ya. When did you see that bruise?!"
"When we went swimming in the lake that one time a couple weeks ago" he replied.
"Oh ya..."
"You better tell him to stop or I will!"
"No Ponyboy! He doesn't remember what he's done to me, he never remembers anything from the night before if he was drunk."
"You better tell him soon. But, why did he run out on you last night???"
"He was drunk again last night. And when he got home he brought me into his bedroom and...and we had sex...I told him a million times not to. I kept saying No and Stop. So then I yelled it and he got up and left..."
"Nancy...," Ponyboy hugged me, "You can't let him do that."
"I know Pony. I'm just scared."
"You're gonna have to tell him sometime, or it'll never get better."

I went back to the apartment and when I walked in I saw Dally asleep on the couch.
He's so cute.
I walked into the bedroom and put my pajamas on. It was 11:00 and I was really tired, I'd assume Dal was too.
I went over to the couch and kneeled down next to it.
"Hey, Dallyyyyy" I whispered.
"Hmmm, what...." He said with his eyes still closed. He was barely awake.
"Come on. Let's go to bed." He got up and we both went into the bedroom and laid down. I cuddled up close to him and I rested my head on his chest.
"I love you Dally." I said. But I didn't get a reply, he was already asleep.
