Riley's POV
"Haha, well one time I was jumping on our trampoline with my dad and there were holes in the net right. Right, so then we were jumping and my dad kinda jumped and then I flew out the hole." I said.

"Woah, holy crap! Were you alright?" Austin asked.

"I mean, I am here. I twisted my ankle, and hit my head pretty hard, but that was it. We just ended up laughing it out." I laughed.

"Well, I'm glad you are alright. That seems pretty scary." He put his arm around me.

"I mean there has been scarier, I mean look at what has been happening to us. Pretty scary. I feel like I'm constantly on edge." Not too different from usual, but still very different.

"Yeah, this is like the one relaxing moment we have had." He sighed. "I miss Alan."

"Me too. I wish there was something we could have done to save him." I said.

"Yeah, me too." I saw a tear form in his eye.

"Oh, Austin," I hugged him. "Go ahead and cry, it's not good to keep your emotions bottled up."
"I know. I just need to be strong. For him." He said.

"You don't need to be strong for anyone except yourself." I said.

"Thanks Riley." He said as we continued to be in each other's embrace. "Look, Alan would have wanted me to give you this." He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a thimble. He handed it to me.

"Thanks..." I said thinking.

"It's a kiss." He smiled.

"Oh," I blushed. "Where did you get this?"

"I keep it in my pocket in case I find someone I want to give a kiss to." He smiled.

"Do you want a kiss too?" I asked. He nodded his head. I leaned in towards him and put the thimble up to his lips. We both started laughing and while he was laughing I did it. I pressed my lips up to his.

"You had me there for a minute Riley." Austin laughed.

"What can I say, I'm the funny one." I smiled and the two little girls came running down the stairs.
