Riley's POV
When the lights came back on it was dark outside and I was surrounded by corn. Not Korn with a K that would be nice. No just normal corn. The wind blew and rustled the leaves on the ears of corn. I noticed I was alone. Should I yell for help or be silent. Who knows what could be in this corn. Wait a minute. This is probably children of the corn. Why on earth would they place us here. Oh yeah, the gamemaker is some evil master mind. What was that? Keep calm and don't move. Uhh, this piece corn should help. I heard someone close by.

"Riley, is that you." I heard Megan say.

"Oh Megan, thank god it's just you." I said hugging her.

"Oh my gosh I'm glad I found you. I was running and running because there were these people trying to hurt me and get me to join their gang. I think this is some children of the corn stuff." She said.

"Me too. Did you outrun them Meg?" I asked.

"I think so. Have you seen Calum and Austin, they would be the ones who are not safe here, as they are adults." She said.

"Oh my gosh. I never even thought about that." I said. "We have to find them."

"I know. Riley I think I might have fallen in love." Megan said.

"Woah woah woah, you just met this guy Megan." I told her.

"I know, but he has saved my life and protected me so many times. I don't think I could ask for more. He is so kind and funny and well I mean he is good looking. I really really like him. Now I don't want him to die." Megan spilled.

"I know, but you just met him." I repeated myself.

"You, just met Austin." Megan crossed her arms.

"I never said I loved him." I responded.

"Well, I mean you do don't you." She said. I mean I always have loved him or have been infatuated with him.

"I don't know how to answer that. He has a girlfriend..." I said as I remembered we kissed. Oh my gosh, what have I done.

"You two would be cute together though and if you could you would love him wouldn't you?" Megan asked.

"... Yes." I said.

"Well, case closed we need to find them." Megan said walking. "Do you think the corn can be used as a weapon?" Megan asked.

"Sure." I responded.

Megan's POV
"Ok. So how do you expect we find them while it is dark and we are in a corn maze." Riley asked.

"I don't know. Yell?" I said.

"No, that's too dangerous." Riley said. "Do you see that smoke over there?" I nodded. "We should follow it. I have a real bad feeling that is where they are or will end up at."

"Alright let's go, quickly, but quietly." I said.

We began running. It was dark and scary. Every turn we did not know if we would run into something scary. We made it to where the fire was. It was bright and on two separate posts Austin and Calum were tied up.

"Megan!" Calum yelled.

"Calum!" I yelled back.

"Riley," Austin yelled.

"Austin!" Riley yelled just as the ugly leader guy took the fire and put it on Austin. "Nooo." Riley ran over and pushed the evil leader guy down.

A group of children came closing in on us. I looked around and didn't know what to do. I grabbed a log and lit it on fire. I started pointing it at the people but all they did was back off a little. I saw one of them with an axe so I threw the fire at him as he dropped his axe. I ran over and picked it up. I started swinging it around every which way. I felt warm blood hit me in the face but I couldn't look.

"Megan!" Calum yelled. I ran over and cut him down. I found a pitch fork on the ground.

"Grab that, we need to go help Riley." I said. She was fighting that evil guy. She was nailing him in the face on the ground.

Riley's POV
"Where's the water?" I yelled.

"I will never tell you!" The evil guy yelled and then he bit me.

"Ouch" I said as he rolled out from underneath me. Just then he fell forward and in his back was a pitchfork.

"Are you alright Riley." Calum held out his hand to help me up. "Yeah, but Austin isn't. We need to get him down and put the fire out." I looked at Austin who was in so much pain.

"Riley, I don't think we can," Calum started.

"No, we can. I know. I've seen it before. Cut him down with your axe megan." I said to her.

"Riley, it won't help. He is going to die either way." Megan said.

"If you aren't going to do it, give it to me." I yelled. I can't lose someone else. I just can't.

"Riley, he won't make it." Megan said tearing up.

"Yes, he, will." I took it from her hand and knocked down the thing he was on. He fell to the ground and the flames began to spread. No. No. No.

"Riley," Austin coughed.

"Austin?" I looked for him but it was so bright and the heat was excruciating. I looked down and saw him.

"Riley, run... Go... I..." He stopped talking as his eyes closed.

"Riley watch out." Megan yelled. I turned around and the evil dude was right behind me. I swung the axe and his head fell clean off. I was splattered in blood.
