Chapter 2

Iris

" Today you guys are gonna partner up for the big science project." I looked at Nina happily.

" Except you Miss Iris." I looked up.

" Yes Mr. Foster?"

" There is one student struggling in this class. Could you maybe partner up since you are my best student? I'll give you extra credit and maybe just maybe i will write a recommendation letter to
your college of choice." I sucked in a breath.

" O-of course Mr. Foster. Thank you! I won't let you down."

" I know you won't. Ashley. Could you come here?" Oh hell no!

" Iris calm down this is for your future." Nina's voice telling me from inside and out.

" What?" Ashley asked stupidly, crossing his arms.

" This will be your science partner for the next 20 days. Treat each other with respect and not that kind of respect Ashley. I know how you are."

" Fine god! Can i sit now?" Mr. F breathed in slowly and exhaled as the little vein on his forehead relaxed.

" Yes. Yes you may sit." Ashley walked back and he sat quietly to my surprise.

" Well who am i gonna partner up with?" Nina asked defeated. Everyone else had a partner except... Baek.

" Well well well looks like I'm with you." Baek smiled evilly.

" Ahh. Our new students please welcome Christian, Luhan, and Kai."

" Loophole bitch." Nina smiled.

" Nina since you are my second best student could you partner up with one of them please? Make them feel welcome?"

" Of course sir."

So i got to know them. Kai was a dick. Christian was funny and Luhan was sweet so i went with Luhan.

Kai and Baek were like twins separated at birth cause they teamed up instantly. Christian was an A student in science so he was making his own project and he was a helper for Iris in cause she needed help with Ashley. Which we all know she does.

" So um, what do you wanna do? Its up to you. I don't have many ideas." Luhan smiled slightly.

" Well its a team effort. Okay so maybe a small but functional robot? What do you think? I've done one before so its pretty easy once you get all the steps down."

" That sounds cool. Yeah let's do that." He seemed to be opening up more cause his smile was a full one.

" Sweet. Lets design it."

" K cool!" I really hope Iris is doing okay.

Iris

" Okay Ashley this is very important to me. You do whatever and I'll do the whole project. When its done just sign your name on it. Okay? I can't let you get in between me getting into college."

" Well what am i supposed to do in the mean time?" He sighed annoyingly.

" Just fuck someone like you normally do. Its all you do anyways." He looked down.

" Yeah i know." He said softly. Wow i like Ashley like this but it won't last.

" Okay so are we on the same page?"

" Look you can't do it by yourself. I want to help. This is my project too. And i need the help with all this weird science stuff anyways."

" Well Christian can help you. He's helping out with you anyways."

" Ugh fine!" He got up abruptly to sit next to Christian which he preferred to be called CC. I hope i can survive these few weeks.

5 hours later Nina

" So what are you up to for the next few hours?" Iris asked me. There was one more class then free period then home.

" I gotta put up these flyers for tutoring. I need a little me money if you know what i mean." I wiggled my eyebrows.

" For the last time i told you getting a vibrator would be a bad invest-"

" Shh! No! I meant some math books. Jeez im not Ashley."

" Haha yeah."

" So....... you gonna help me with my flyer problem?"

" Sorry i gotta pick up Joey from daycare."

" I wish i had a little brother or sister."

" Well have your parents talked about it?"

" Yeah but i don't know if mom wants one or dad cause they both seem unsure. I'll talk to them about it. "

" Trust me it's rough at first but you'll grow to love him or her."

" Yeah i just want someone else in that house to talk to. I mean mom and dad are always busy with work. We never have time with each other. I mean you and your family are perfect. Family nights, one on one time with each parent, a little brother that loves you. That's why i love being around you guys. I can pretend to have a non busy perfect family."

" Nina i-"

" No its okay. I'm sorry i brought it up i just-"

" No no its totally okay for you to bring it up. You aren't my friend. Your my sister." I grabbed her in a huge hug.

" Love you sis!"

" Love you too!"

2 hours later

My arms were giving out i had put up 50 flyers around the school. And it was almost time for the school to be off limits. I walked to the front office and said goodbye to some of the staff.

And no surprise Baek was there being scolded by the principal and his mom.

" You need better grades young man! You need a tutor!" Principal Alex looked at me and noticed the flyer i had already put up.

" Mrs. Byun may i? This right here is one of the smartest kids in this school. She would be honored to help. Right Nina?"

" Uh..."

" Please! Please! My Baeky boo needs help? Please?!" She begged. I tried so hard not to laugh at Baeky boo.

" Yes i would love too." I smiled kindly at her and bowed. Even though i an no longer in Korea i still obey by the traditions.

" Ah. Your from Korea aren't you? I can tell with the way you carry yourself. Baek you can learn a thing or two from her."

" Pfft. Whatever." He rolled his eyes at his mom.

" Baek have some respect you never treat women like that!" I yelled to him her mother smiled as Baek mumbled an apology.

" That's better. Could you come over tomorrow? Here is the address." She handed me a slip of paper with the address on it.

" Of course. Have a nice day." I bowed once more and walked out the doors to my car. Well this was gonna be disaster.
