POV: Leonardo
We drove about three hours or so until we got to where we were going.
We were standing near the edge of the woods, hiding underneath the underbrush. My body shuddered as my eyes layed upon the familiar terrifying sight of the hospital that we barely escaped from two months ago. But now we have to sneak back in. Raquel was crouched next to me, determination burning in her glowing, nocturnal eyes.
"Ya ready for this?"
"...No."
The building loomed over us. It was so intimidating. Memories of the experiences I suffered in that place swarmed in my head. My heart was pounding rapidly from my fear and panic.
I heard Ray let out a nervous chuckle.
"Me neither. But we have to if we want to find out where those bastards are keeping your brothers."
I slowly nodded and cautiously followed begind her out of the underbrush. But as we got closer, my stomach began to do flip flops and twisted in knots. Raquel went up to a security camera by the door and carefully draped a cloth over the lense. She took out a screw driver from her jacket and started picking at the door lock. I didn't have any idea what Ray was doing. Truthfully she barely went over the plan with me the night before. She said something about finding documented records or something of that sort that could possibly help in finding my brothers.
She kept trying to break the lock, but I was too light headed to pay attention. I just kept on staring back into the woods.
"I got it." I heard her whisper.
Without warning, she came back and began guiding me inside. But I couldn't budge. My nerves rattled.
"I- I gotta..." I couldn't finish and yanked my arm out of her grasp and ran back into the woods and crouched behind a bush. I wretched and began vomiting the contents of my stomach.
"Shit Leo, are you okay?" Raquel caught up to me. Her face wrinkled at the sight of me throwing up the frosted flakes we had for breakfast.
"Y-yeah...I'm-I'm alright." I wiped the remnants of bile from my lips on the sleeve of my jacket as I stood up.
Raquel gently eased her hands under my arm and wrapped them tight, clinging to my arm as she stared up at me.
"C'mon Leo, we can do this...we have to for the sake of your family. "
After I took a few moments to compose myself, I took in a deep breath and straighted to my full height. I turned to her with a confident smile, though it wavered.
"Alright. Let's go."
We both made our way quietly into the entrance of the hospital. Everything was dark, but we dared not turn on any lights or touch anything for the sake of an alarm going off. The soft pitter patter of Raquel's sneakers was drowned out by the pounding of the rubber soles of my boots. I had no idea where we were going. I was only letting Raquel take the lead, she seemed to know what direction she was going.
"When I escaped from my containment..." I could barely hear her whispers, "...I remember running down a hall, passing a metal door that said: Record Room. Maybe we'll find some information in there."
All of a sudden, I started to hear footsteps from around the corner.
"Quickly, hide!" Raquel hissed.
A steel door up ahead was our only option. To our astonishment and relief, the door was unlocked and we quickly rushed in inside and quietly shut the door behind us. Raquel immediately locked the door as we heard the thundering footsteps come closer. I held my breath as I heard them finally pass by. I sighed and allowed myself to lean against the door as I slid to the ground as relief washed over me. Then I felt Ray hoist me up by the arm and pulled me to my feet.
"We're not outta the fire yet Leo." She quickly reminded me.
We took a moment to look around and observe the area of the room. The room was dark and musty. Several large desks were aligned in an orderly classroom fashion, each equipped with a computer that were constantly giving off a white noise in the silent room. It was some kind of office.
"Leo, come over here."
I looked around for Raquel until I found her sitting behind one of the desks, typing away at the computer. I walked up behind her, looking over her shoulder. I peered at the bright screen. It looked like some kind of document.POV: Raquel
"Look at this..."
I clicked on the document and scrolled down through its contents. I searched for any possible information that could aid us. I unintentionally clicked on something that led me to what looked like a summary and a mug shot of Leonardo. Leo looked equally surprised as me.
"Well...were getting somewhere." I gave Leo a cheeky grin before returning my attention to the computer screen.Related to: Project Renaissance

"Leo, Leo I think I found them."
He leaned in close. I felt his grip on the chair cushion tighten. He drew in a choked breath.
I turned to see utter relief and happiness written on his face, tears trickled from the corners on his deep blue eyes.
"W-where are they?" He asked me breathlessly.
I didn't know how to really answer him. "Well that's the thing... apparently they were never taken out of New York like you were. They're in custody of Eric Sacks back at his company."
Leo's expression of happiness quickly turned to shock, then to sheer anger in a matter of seconds. He turned away from me, shacking his head.
I then heard Leo growl. "I should've fucking known...crap"
I grab a pen and paper, jotting down the new information. If we're going to rescue Leonardo's brothers, this is our best bet at finding them. I stuff the paper inside the pocket of my jeans and rose up from the chair, making it spin on its wheels.
"OK. We've got what we came for. Now let's get outta here. I feel like we have already been here too long."
Leonardo nodded and followed me toward the door. I motioned for Leo to stay close as we exited the room. We tip toed down the hallway back to the main lobby.
For some unearving reason, I had a sinking feeling that something was not right. I couldn't believe it was so easy to sneak in...without getting caught so far. Either I'm just paranoid or something terrible was gonna happen.
"Ray, you okay?"
I flinched at the sudden appearance of Leo's voice behind me.
"I don't know... " My eyes darted around the hallway. "I feel like something's wrong..."
Sometimes...I just wish I kept my mouth shut.
I didn't anticipate the group of late night Foot guards to come from around the corner of another hall.
"Oh fuck!"
"Hey! Hey! Stop right there!"
We both broke into a run as their rough voices called after us. Heavy footsteps began chasing us as we desperately ran towards the hospital entrance doors. I suddenly heard a loud click come from the double doors as the security lock was activated. I rammed myself into the doors, ignoring the sharp pain in my shoulder. Leo banged his fists against the glass. His face was panicked as he looked to me and back to the Foot soldiers.
We were trapped.
"Ah, miss Cross. So nice to see you again."
That voice...that weasely tone. I knew it in an instant... and I was not pleased to see the man who it belonged to.
A man dressed in a white tux with slicked back hair and goatee came in behind the soldiers, pushing them aside with his cane.
I sneered, "Carlos Quinn..."
"Don't wear it out sweetie."
He has such a big fucking ego. I want to just slap him silly.
"And you brought back our most important asset..." His attention turned to Leonardo, who looked paralized beside me, his icy blue eyes wide in fear. "Hello Leonardo, it's been awhile, though I'm so glad your decided to return to us. Now we can continue with our progress."
The Foot soldiers rushed forward and grabbed a hold of me and Leo, forcing all their weight on us, pushing us to the tile floor. Leo fell with a thud beside me, his face pressed to the floor with one of the guards pressing his head down. They put steel cuffs on his wrists and forced him to his feet.
Leo fought to get free out of his captors' grasps. I saw him drop kick one guard out of the corner of my eye and knock out another one with a head bang.
Four more instantly came over and started tazering Leo with shock guns. A cry of agony left him as he crumbled to his knees.
"NO! GET OFF HIM! LEAVE HIM ALONE! LEO!" My vision was blurry and I was blinded by tears. "YOU MOTHER FUCKERS! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!
My pleads turned to rage, I used all my might to force the men off of me. Knocking them over like dominos, I ran over to Leo to pry the men off of him. Until Carlos came up from behind me, out of nowhere. I turned in an attempt to punch him right in the jaw, but my head collided with the handle of his cane. The pain was excruciating and I began to see stars. I felt my body meet the floor with an echoing thud in my ears.
"RAY!"
I heard Leo's voice call out to me and heard a few struggling noises before my vision went black and I went unconscious.Ya know, even though Carlos Quinn is an OC I came up with...I'm really starting to hate his fucking guts right now. Well so much for Raquel's plan. Now they are captured again, but they do have info of where Leo's brother's are, which turns out they have to go back to New York. Maybe they'll be able to find them, and rescue them...that is, if they can escape first...
