Chapter 9

Andi's P•O•V

"Slow down Josh. What's happened?"
"She's been cheating on me." He cried.
"What the heck! I'm gonna kill her! Nobody hurts my lil' bubble." He laughed painfully down the line.
"Come over? I'll make pop tarts."
"Okay. See you in a few hours." I can't believe Debby would do such a nasty thing, well I can but I didn't think it would actually happen. Somehow I feel like it's all my fault.

Josh arrived and I put some pop tarts in the toaster.
"I'm so sorry she did this Josh." I said pouting.
"It's fine. It hasn't been the same between us for awhile now." He sighed.
"It's okay. You have me." I only meant this as friends.
"I know." He smiled. He leaned over the counter and kissed me. I made my way around the counter and wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled me in closer by my waist; he picked me up and I wrapped my legs around him. He started kissing my neck and shoulder. I let out a slight moan but tried to hide it. He noticed and started to pull my shirt off. We made our way into my bedroom and he laid me out on the bed; he pulled his own shirt off and hovered over me.
"Josh." I began. He stopped and looked at me, confused.
"Yeah?"
"I don't want us to do this because you're hurting; I want it to be real. I'm not a rebound." Josh stood up and looked at me accepting what I had said. I put my shirt back on and kissed him on the cheek.
"I'm sorry." I said.
"No I get it, I want it to be real too." He smiled.
We ate our pop tarts and watched spongebob cartoons.
I looked over at him as he bit down on a pop tart - his jaw so shaped, I could slice bread with his jawline. His lips looked so soft and his eyes sparkled slightly. Why did I pass up that opportunity; I'm such an idiot. I wanted to just get up and kiss him but he is hurting and I need to let him heal, I don't want to make him anymore confused.
"I'm heading to bed." I said standing up and adjusting my shorts.
"Okay. I'll sleep here - I think that will be more appropriate."
"You can sleep in my bed if you want Josh."
"Um no I don't want to over step my boundaries."
"Okay I'll just grab you some blankets." I said.

I handed him a blanket and some pillows. Our fingertips touched, as he took them from me, this sent a tingle through my body. I really want to kiss him. I cup his cheek with my hand and kiss him hard, but he pulls away quickly.
"Andi I do like you I'm just confused at the moment. Let's just be friends for now." He said. This made my cheeks flare up into a scarlett red, it was dark so he didn't see but I knew and it crushed me inside. Ugh now I wish I never said anything earlier.
