Kaze's pov
I woke up before the sun had risen th next day because I was used to it and habits are hard to change. I decided to go out to the gardens as I thought it would be bad for me to look around the castle without an escort, I tend to get lost plus the guards might mistake me for an intruder, but when I opened the door, Merlin was outside my door.
"Ugh, good morning?" I asked more than stated it.
"Good morning, if you would just follow me"
"Ugh, where are we going??" I asked as I followed him. He remained silent for a while before answering.
"To the round table"
" Are we gonna go and test if I am a knight already? Without Arthur and the other knights?" I asked, puzzled. Shouldn't be Arthur there atleast to witness it?
"No, we are still not sure if you are a knight, so it would be a waste of his time if it turned out you are not one of the knights" he said. 'Okay, I understand the reasoning behind his words but must he state them that way?' I thought.
"But if it turned out that I am a knight then?"
"We wouldn't be telling him or anyone?"
"What? Why?"
"It would be better to tell them after every knight is found"
"So why?"
"Everything will be revealed eventually" he said with a tone of finality but before I could ask again we were already at the round table.
"It is actually better looking than what I pictured" I said as I admired it. Everything is exquisitely done. For some reason I felt something draw me in a very particular chair. The chair Lin was talking about, the special place reserved for a special knight. I caressed it and I felt a warm tingle coming from my fingers spreading around my body. I sighed contentedly and sat in it. It felt very warm and comfortable like a very cozy sofa. I looked at Merlin who was watching me with wonder.
"Guess I proved the great Merlin wrong this time" he sighed and approached me he offered his hand beckoning me to take it. I took his hands and he pulled me out of the chair.
"You mustn't tell this to anyone. You are in as much danger as Arthur at this point. I can't tell you at this moment but please keep this a secret at least until all the knights are gathered"
"But I can't just standby and let the others do the fighting especially Lin"
"You can help without telling them your position as a knight" I sighed but nodded he looked very determined and something like fear was lurking in his eyes.
He smiled and caressed my hair so tenderly that I blushed for the first time in my life and then he was gone. I blinked puzzled at his actions.
'Gosh, this guy is so puzzling one moment he doesn't like me and the next he's treating me so gently as if I'm a breakable glass.' i sighed and walked to the dining area after asking the guard we passed while going to the round table.
I never noticed how much time passed but it was late enough that Lin was up and that was saying something.
"Good morning Kaze-nee!" I smiled.
"Good morning Lin, everyone" I greeted as I moved to sit next to a white long haired man who exuded a genteel aura. I smiled at him and extended my hand for him to shake.
"I am Kaze, pleased to make your acquaintance." Instead of shaking my hand, he took it and kissed the back of it. Oh right, we are in England in Arthur's era which means shaking hands is still not a form of greeting ladies.
