Lapis stared at the ceiling of her room. She couldn't wait until she graduated. Then her mother wouldn't try to convince lapis that she had the right to control every aspect of her life. There was absolutely no way her mother was going to coerce her into marrying a stranger halfway across the damn seas. She loved her mother but she wasn't going to just hand over her life to her, her happiness. The blue haired butterfly turned in her bed, facing  her sizable window, knocking a couple of her many pillows from her bed.

"Honey, I'm sure a man could satisfy you  better than any woman you've been with! Now, I've let you have your fun long enough but there is no way I'm letting you throw away you life. I don't mind you having a girl toy on the side but you will have children, marry, and carry on our family name. You just haven't found the right man yet darling."

Lapis neurotic expression turned to that of a frown but stronger. She  clenched her fists as her mothers words stabbed and stung her. Who she was, lapis, wasn't a phase, she had known she never liked boys. But she always tried to please her mother. A regrettable decision she wish she hadn't made the mistake of doing. Blue eyes closed in annoyance of the past memory. How dare her mother try to come and take control of her life ! She had neglected her, she only cared about her work.

Ms.Diamond , number one in every literal aspect of life, and her daughter, Lapis Lazuli, who couldn't compare to her mother if she tried. The butterfly was determined to prove to her mother that she could make her own decisions, and income. If it wasn't for... her... lapis mother would have probably let her marry whomever she wanted! Lapis knew her mother was trying to protect her but this way, wasn't the way to do it. Her mother hadn't forgiven, her, hadn't even  forgiven lapis.

Hell, lapis hadn't even forgiven herself.

Lapis felt stupid, for being so trusting, and stupid. Not once, but twice. She had to prove to her mother could protect herself, her heart. She drifted off into the only place she had peace, well most times.

The crunchy sound of gravel being rolled over awoke lapis from her nap. The intrusion of noise annoying her. Who the hell would be coming around this late? No one knew where she lived, well except Pearl and Amethyst.  She pushed her self up by her elbows stretching her sleepy muscles.

Maybe the cutie really came back? She did seem pretty started and upset this morning. Before the outsider could knock Lapis opened her front door. She had hoped Pearl awaited her. Instead she got the one person she hated, her literal worse nightmare.

"Hey Lapis, miss me?"

 Jasper.

"J-jasper, it couldn't be." Her voice barely above a hushed whisper. The butterfly trembled, her arms shaky from seeing, her, after so long. She felt her hate bubble up within her stomach. For jasper, and more so herself. "Fuck off jasper, get out!" Lapis voice wavered only a bit this time. Her hatred bringing her anger and rock back. The tall woman looked behind lapis pushing her small frame out of her way to get through. "Well, I didn't actually expect you to go this far to avoid me, what happened to us lapis?"

"There is no 'us' !"

"What's the problem lapis?"

"You're the problem, just go! I don't want you here..." blue eyes glared into hazel ones. Her voice full of venom, she feared jasper, but she hated her. Way more than any fear she could ever feel. More than any love she had ever felt for jasper. For the person she used to be.  Jasper closed her eyes with a chuckle, and when she opened them her expression was mangled, she grabbed lapis by the neck holding her up a few feet into the air.

"Listen lazuli, I'm trying to be nice here. I told you, you, belong to me. Nothing you feel, nothing your mother says, or anyone can keep me from you. You promised lapis-" Lapis scratched jasper as hard as she could. The scratches were deep for nails and drew blood. Jasper let the smaller woman go, kicking her to the wall. "Just for that I should teach you a lesson again!" Lapis froze up in the corner of her living room. "W-what. Jasper, no." her voice was cracked from fear, she hadn't felt the pain of jasper's large hands fully yet.  Jasper wasted no time dragging lapis by her blue locks beginning to drag her unwillingly up the stairs. Lapis screamed.  There was a fairly loud knock on the open door. Jasper dropped lapis, letting her roll down the blue carpeted steps.

"Lapis? I mean, Ms. Lazuli? Are you home? I wanted to apolo-" Pearls small cutesy voice rang out in the dead silence during the intense scene. She walked in looking from lapis holding her neck to the floor to the tall mean woman standing by the stairs. "W-what's going on here. Lapis are you okay!" Pearl wasted not a second appearing to lapis side faster than garnet blocked jasper's punch aimed at Pearl Crystal.

Without hesitation garnet delivered a blow to Jasper's stomach, making the strong woman drop to the floor instantly. "I don't like this pearl." Garnet's voice was low and deadly. Getting ready for another punch lapis grabbed garnet's arm. "Please! Don't hurt her again, She didn't mean it, she didn't mean this, just let her go."

"Lapis, no! You need to report her to the authorities! She's a danger to you and god knows whoever else!" Pearl argued, twiddling with her hands in anxiety. "Please, I promise she won't do anything, I'll talk to her at a different time, she just needs time to cool off, it's my fault. I angered her Pearl, please just tell garnet to stop."

"Pearl, leave it be. Our help isn't wanted." Despite garnet's comment she lifted Jasper by her hair guiding her to the door. "But that doesn't mean this one can stay, she's coming with me. To, cool off." Garnet closed the door behind her.

"L-lapis, are you okay, what did she do to you?" Pearl firmly grasped Lazuli's shoulders rubbing circles with her thumb. "I'm fine pearl, really. This is just happening because of me-"

"NO! I refuse to believe that lapis. You're not the person everyone makes you out to be, I know you aren't." Pearl looked deep into the butterfly's eyes. Hoping her heartfelt words would reach lapis. "You're wrong... Everyone thinks they know me, BUT THEY DON'T. NONE OF YOU KNOW ME, YOU'RE ALL JUST PRETENDING FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL SAKE. To make yourselves feel better. I have nothing to do with it. I'm a really bad person pearl, I don't want you to-Ugh. Just get out."

"But lapis-"

"GET OUT, WHY WON'T ANYONE LISTEN TO ME?"

"W-well, I'll see you around school then."

Pearl walk out with her head held down low. She was afraid.  That she had made the only person she felt she could relate to the most hate her. Afraid if lapis would be okay. Scared to leave her alone.

"I know you think I'm the same as everyone else but, I'm my own person."

Lapis watched her leave slowly, she opened the door, and looked back.

"I'll be back lapis, I promise you that..."

And she was gone.

Woah. Well. I don't know why I am being so mean to my loves. But I know they have a road Of hell and a sweet ride waiting. I tried to get as many words as I could and make this chapter fairly long so... HERE YOU ALL GO! I LOVE YOU GUYS 😂 ALL 2 OF YOU.

I fixed my errors, hopefully all of them 😂
