Guess who's back... back again. Shady's-
mmkay kidding but whatever
Mostly some crappy filler (yes already Kaitlyns giving you filler)
-
The plane ride was a few hours of pure awkwardness. I almost got kicked off of the plane for loosing it on some stoner for playing with my hair.
-
Finally landing in San Diego, I sighed and peeled off my black crewneck and use it to mop of my sweat.
"Classy Scar" I turn around to face my aunt, her blonde hair almost reaching her waist.
"LIZ!" I squeal, tackling her in a hug.
"Hi kiddo" she laughs. When the hug breaks several minutes later, we go to retrieve my luggage.
-
When we reach Liz's house on a hill, she's filled in on my situation, although she's understanding I can tell she doesn't really want me here until I turn of age, get money and move out.
"Okay so I guess you need a room, and I don't really have guests or kids so I kinda decorated a bit for you. If you hate it let me know" she chuckles, I follow her down the small hallway into a large room.
A plushy white bed sits in the far left corner, a window with window seat and throw pillows on the opposite wall, a large oak desk and chair on the closer wall and a huge vanity next to a matching wardrobe.
A Nirvana poster hangs on the wall next to my bed.
"I like the poster" I laugh
"Figured you would" she giggles
"Thank you so much Aunt Liz"
"You're welcome kiddo, also we have some rules. No boys without permission, you have to go to classes and no smoking in the house. Also you're welcome to stay out at night, but I expect a phone call or a text." She lists off several more rules.
"Wait, school?" I ask
"You live in San Diego, you've had a tough time but school is important too. You start at Clairemont High, Monday" She tosses a couple of brochures on my desk.
--
I wake up to the sun filtering through the huge window. I hop out of bed and slip into a pair of denim shorts.
Last night I fell asleep in an oversized Blink 182 shirt and my underwear. I pick up some of the Clairemont flyers and put them on my desk.
"Good morning sunshine" Liz teases.
"Morning" I mumble as I sip on the coffee she placed infront of me.
"I transferred your phone stuff here, you're all good to stay. I called your dad so he knows you're alright."
I sigh at the mention of my parents but thank her anyways.
"Also I want you to go out and find at least a part time job today" she says handing me a map of the town. I head to get dressed, a tight black tanktop and my shorts.
On my way out I guess I dropped my sunglasses, because when I turn around a boy is standing there with them.
"Thank you" I say, taking the glasses from the boy's hand.
"Do you live with her?" The boy asks
"Uh yeah she's my aunt. Not that it's any of your concern."
"Guess Im your neighbour then," he holds out a hand "Tony Perry"
"Scarlett Tait" I say, taking his hand and shaking it quickly.
"Welcome to San Diego, Scarlett" he says testing out the name.
"Is there a problem?" I hiss, not meaning to be harsh.
"I think I'm going to call you Scar" Tony declares proudly.
"YO TURTLE!" A voice from down the street causes both Tony and I to jump.
"JAIME!" Tony shouts, obviously a friend. The boy runs up to us, his hair is dark, like Tony's but this boy has a blonde streak in his, he seems more outgoing.
"Hey there, who are you?" The kid asks me.
"Scarlett Tait" I hold out my hand.
"Jaime Preciado"
"Like Hi-Me?" I ask, making sure I don't offend Tony's friend.
"Yes ma'am"
"Alright, where do you guys go to school?" I ask, slightly hoping it's Clairemont. It'd do me good to know some people.
"Clairemont High" Jaime answers, I smile.
"I start there Monday"
"Wanna walk with us?" Tony asks excitedly.
"Yeah!" I exclaim.
"Well Scar wanna hang out?" Tony asks
"Sure- Oh wait I have to find a part time job"
"There's a little dinner down the road that'll hire you I would think. Let's go check!" Jaime says pointing down the road like a child.
more of a filler. how else is she gonna meet people though?!
