"IMPOSSIBLE."
"Possible." The head of the guards looked almost bored, sitting in his chair near the end of the table. Close to his monarch who stared at the map, his hand plastering the paper to that table with an iron grip."This can't be!" Libra cried out with anguish. He leaned his head closer to the table, his eyes narrowing. "What sort of game are you playing at, Leo?" He whispered. "Have you no common sense?"
Draco snorted, faint puffs of smoke almost visible from his nostrils. "It's not like we are going to allow this to stand, your majesty," He said, fingertips tapping restlessly on the tabletop. "We are a united kingdom; we have plenty of resources to easily crush this rebellion now that he has revealed his true location."Libra was silent, staring at the circled area on the map.
"Ah, your majesty, if I may." A voice cried out from the left side of the table, opposite of Draco.
He turned to regard the royal tutor with eyes of respect. "Yes, Homam?"The tall intellectual looked extremely out of place seated at such a small table clearly not made for one of his stature. Libra, in spite of himself, smiled. Oh well. At least the man's chair had yet to collapse.
"I disagree with Draco."
The captain glared across the table.
Homam continued. "If we take any action against what Leo has done, we must be sure that we first keep in mind the risks. We cannot be reckless.""Yes, but we are thinking about the entire population as a whole. If a few must be sacrificed to ensure the safety of the king, so be it!" Draco said, with a snarl.
"Peace, Draco," Libra said, his grey eyes instantly silencing the captain's rage with a single glance.
Homam frowned. "I am not averring that Draco is incorrect, however. Leo is indeed a threat to our kingdom, your highness. Already, what has been done will stand, almost stain-like, in the history that represents you, King Libra. I was not specifically talking about risking the people, Draco," he said, regarding him with cautious eyes."I meant the economical risks."
Libra nodded without a second glance at his captain of the guards. "What do you propose, Homam?"
The royal tutor closed his eyes and let out a big sigh that tousled everyone's hair, leading to many loud grumbles and complaints from the other Heads at the table. At least, everyone but Libra's. The air around him listened to his every desire, blowing this way and that. In the entire room his winds blew, whispering and swaying to his command. It acted like a shield around himself and Draco, who had wisely leaned towards his right the instant Homam had exhaled."Hey, watch it buddy!"
"Excuse me, I finally got my hair some well-needed maintenance!"
Libra watched the chocolate hands shakily reach deep into the fold of his white robe to withdraw a small brown box. Etched into the wood he could faintly make out a circle with a cross underneath it. Homam slowly undid a simple clasp on the front before his fingers dipped inside. There was a high pitch sound, almost as if someone had rung a bell. Libra's eyes widened. "Omnividacles," He said, startled.Draco only rolled his eyes. "It is not as though we can use them, your Majesty" He said with a sigh. "We all know that all of the Omnividacles are deactivated. They just do not have the Epocsorohian energy to function. It really is a shame," He said.
A smile slowly slipped over Homam's face, puzzling Libra, before he withdrew a small pool of what appeared to be a mirrored haze. He lowered his head, and the cloud rolled over his facial features, transmogrifying against his eyes and nose. In only a moment, it condensed to form the translucent lenses of the Omnividacles, the temples circumventing around his ears.
Libra lifted his head. "What are you doing, Homam?"
The man opened his eyes and, with a flash of light blue light, pictures flew like fireflies to suspend around the room. There were alarmed gasps of surprise.
"How in Caidoz did you do that, Homam?!" Draco exclaimed, his eyes now wide in amazement. "Those lenses call for an insane amount of power from the Wanders!"
