Jill's P.O.V:

Mrs.Johnson is going on as usual about her university days which was probably like last year. From a week and a half of being in a school I've come to realise that I prefer older teachers to young ones. Mrs.Johnson is really pretty which is why this class is predominantly male, I'd bet an arm they don't pay attention to a word she says. They don't even mind hearing about her "insanely wicked" uni parties, the few lasses that are in this class mostly read off the textbook while she's talking.
"It was definitely something I'll never forget." Mrs.Johnson laughs glancing down at her desk. "Oh my! I've almost forgotten." She gasps picking up a stack of papers. "You have an assignment for this term." She explains holding up the stack of papers and earning a synchronised groan from the class. "I know it's no fun but it has to be done." She smiles sweetly. "The good news is you'll be partnered up so you'll get to split the work with your partner." She explains giving one of the lads in the front to pass out the assignment papers. "Just partner up with the person you're sitting next to, it'd be easier for me since you're all sitting in alphabetical order." The moment the words leave her mouth Dave looks up at me for the first time this period.

"Howdy partner." I smile putting on a southern accent, Dave just smiles at me not saying a thing. He's still being weird. All this week he's been giving me one word answers and avoiding eye contact. Now I finally have a chance to chat with him about whatever's going on, thanks to the fact that my last initial comes after his. "So you wanna pop over to my house after school?" I ask him.

"Um sure...but it's only the first day we don't have to start it today."

"We have to, it'd be better to get it done quickly." I push.

"Alright if you insist. Around what time should I be there?"

"At like 4, if that's not too late. I'm going out with Ellie and Char after school, they were going to show me this café but if it's too late I could always go another day."

"Gingerfé?" He asks.

"Yeah." I smile.

"It's a great place." He frowns, rolling his eyes.

"What's wrong?"

"I actually wanted to be the one to take you there." Dave pulls lips into a tight line and shakes his head to himself.

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"Well you could join us if you wanted." I place my hand over his and he pulls his hand away.

"No. I'll be at your house at 4." He declines flatly, packing his books away as the bell rings. Dave leaves before I can say anything.

Charlotte and I stop at a little brick cafe and it looks so cute from the outside. It reminds me of a cafe that mother loves going to every time we're in France. "This place looks cute." I tell Char as we step out of her car and walk towards the entrance. Sweet smells engulf my senses as we enter Gingerfé. Everybody is either speaking in hushed tones or reading. It's so peaceful even though its nearly full. "Ellie said that she's wearing a grey sweater." I say scanning the little square tables.

"Found her." Charlotte points towards a table by the window. Where Eleanor sits with two other girls. Perrie and Danielle I notice as we get closer.

"There you two are." Eleanor smiles and everybody greets us as we sit down. " I ran into Dani and Perrie while I was waiting for you." Ellie explains.

"So how do you like Gingerfé Jill?" Perrie smiles.

"It's really cute, it reminds me of this cafe I went to when I was in Paris, but I can't judge it yet without tasting anything."
