Jill's P.O.V:

I take one last look at myself, pulling the straps of my book bag over my shoulders.

"Juliana?" Father's voice echoed through the house, I didn't bother answering because he would never be able to hear me from here, instead I just make my way downstairs looking for him.

"Father, you called?" I say when I finally find him in the lounge reading the paper.

"Yes." He says setting the paper down, then taking in my appearance. I shift on my feet waiting for his response but he just stares at me.

"Father, are you alright?" I ask tilting my head.

"Yes. Sorry poppet." He says snapping out of his thoughts. "It's just that you look just like your mother did in that uniform like identical." He explains.

"Oh. I have never seen any pictures, mother didn't have any at all." I tell father.

"That's because she left everything here." Father sighs. "The photographs were all I had left of you two. I'll show you some time when you'd like."

"I would love that father." I gush.

"When I get home from work today?" He offers.

"Sounds good." I smile, scratching my neck, the collar of this school shirt is rather itchy.

"Alright then, go eat your breakfast my driver will take you and Kathleen to school." Father explains, I nod heading towards the kitchen. When I enter I see Kathy standing on her tippy-toes placing her cereal bowl in the sink.

"Morning Kathy." I greet, looking for the greenest apple in the fruit-bowl, I don't like red apples.

"Morning Jill, I didn't see you at breakfast." Kathy looks up at me in her little uniform with her brown hair pulled back into a tight ponytail.

"I overslept." I smile biting into the apple.

"You'd better hurry up or we would be late for school." She says and I smile at how mature she is for her age.

"We can leave now I don't really feel like eating breakfast." I tell her, this apple would do just fine I'm too nervous to eat anything heavy. She nods and walks out of the kitchen with me trailing behind her. Kathy jumps onto fathers lap as soon as she enters the lounge.

"Bye papa." She hugs him.

"Bye poppet." He smiles setting her down. "Have a good day at school and call me if you need anything Juliana." He tells me.

"I'm sure I would be fine. Bye father." I wave as Kathy pulls my hand guiding me into the foyer and out the door where a black Mercedes is waiting for us.

**********

I sighed as the bell rang it was just one more period and then time for lunch and I still haven't seen Waliyha yet. The morning was okay, I got lost numerous times, this school uniform itches like hell and my new school shoes are cutting into my skin through my socks besides all that everything is tickety-boo.
I really need to be wearing two socks or bandage my ankles and then put my socks over, I think to myself as I look for my next class C12, now where could that be? I take my bottom lip between my teeth, looking around for somebody I could ask. Right at that moment I felt something hard it my book bag causing me to jerk forward but I caught myself before I could fall.

"Fuck!" I hear somebody swear and immediately turn around. To see a lad groaning on the floor behind me.

"Oh I'm terribly sorry. Are you alright?" Pieces of my hair that came loose from my fishtail plait fall around my face as I look down at him. His caramel eyes meet mine and just like everybody I've met today he stares.
