Chapter 11: The Call

Diane's P.O.V

It was Sunday morning and I woke up feeling physically ok , but emotionally not at all. It was really early like 7:00 a.m.

Cass on the other hand was still sleeping. Since I didn't have much to do I had breakfast, worked out and took a shower. It was already 10:00 when my phone started ringing.

"Hello" I answered unsure.

"Hi this is Mom. Diane I've been notified about your behavior." She said straight to the point.

"Ok, I'm fine thanks for asking and anyway I don't know what the hell are you talking about." I said a little angry.

"First of all I'm your mother so watch your tone and language. Secondly watch your sassiness, and third you know exactly what I mean. Inviting people to stay at the house, fighting with Nicholas and cheating on Nicholas, you know.... everything you thought would never get to my ears because I'm in Europe with your father." She said with a knowing tone.

"First of all mother I don't have a father anymore, you both lost your rights when you made that deal with the Eclipse Wolfs. Seriously what kind of parents bargain their own child. Secondly Nick cheated on me first; bet they didn't tell you that, and I invite whom ever I trust into the house I'm not an idiot nor am I stupid. I know I have to take care of my self and watch out." I said with a tone that if my 'mother' would have been in front of me she would have slapped me.

"Don't disrespect me nor your father! You know that the deal runs in the family. Eclipses go with Crescents. It has been a rule for almost 2 centuries. Now shut your mouth and stop whinnying! Don't you dare ruin The Crescent Wolf name." she said with a warning and scolding tone.

"Oh please! don't play that century card. You clearly know that the parents need to agree; and you know what, I'm tired of this conversation and I'm losing signal. M--sshhhhs- B-shshsshs- ye-shshhshsh." I said clearly faking the signal loss and finally hanging up on her without giving her a chance to respond. I truly despise them. The only good thing in my life right now is Cassy. My best friend. She's always been there for me.

It's 12:00 o'clock and Cass hasn't woken up, so I decide to wake her up.... smashing a pillow to her face.

I go up to the guest room and trying to catch her by surprise I open the door slowly, and tip-toe my way to the bed where she's sleeping. When I'm about to smack her with the pillow she turns around and smacks me with the pillow that was next to her. "Ouch!" I said rubbing my butt after falling on it. "What was that for!?" I said innocently, trying to cover up the fact that I was going to smack her. "Oh please, don't act all innocent I saw you entering the room. The only thing that you did wrong, was everything. You really need to learn to sneak up on people." She answered. I rolled my eyes and said "Shut up" knowing that she was right.

We go down stairs, and after we ate and watched a little tv, it was time for Cass to leave. She grabbed her bags, her purse and car keys, and she walked towards the front door were I was already waiting for her. She gave me a tight hug and whispered in my ear "D, you are not a lone. Don't ever think that I will leave you. I will always be there for you, even more in a times like this. Always remember that we are sisters from another mister. Don't let stupid ass people like your parents or Nick or even Ryan turn you down. I love you so much. Take care and call me if you need any thing or if you need someone to cry with. Bye! I'll call you when I get home."

I didn't expect her words at all. She said everything we've known, but never said. I was speechless. I just did what I was feeling in the moment. I couldn't control my self. I hugged her tighter and started crying in the crook of her neck. She just stood there hugging me back and stroking my hair in a comforting way. Once I managed to calm my self, I moved a bit back so I could see her face. Then I hugged her again and whispered "Thank you! You've always been there for me. You're my family even if not by blood, relationships and bonds count more. I love you! Take care too. I will have my phone close. I'll talk to you later. You still have to tell me what you did when you disappeared in the party, don't think I forgot."

After I said this we parted from our hug and she said "We'll see. Well.. I have to go now. I love you!" This said I opened the door and she went trough it. I stood on my knees on top of the sofa watching through the window as she loaded the trunk of her car with her luggage and later on as she disappeared on to the road.

When she was out of sight I turned around and sat on the sofa and pressed play to the show that we were watching. Then my phone vibrated on the coffee table. I thought it was Cass so I pressed pause on the show and picked up my phone, but when I turned it on the lock screen read: 10 missing calls, 20 unread texts and 5 missed face times. Needless to say who they were from, I just put my phone down again on the coffee table not bothering to return any of the face times, or the calls or to even read the texts. I pressed play again and after a few hours of watching the show and a few snacks I fell asleep.
