Mom's and you

{ALEC}

I can tell by Magnus' face he's feeling a slight twinge of pain because over the year he's grown on mom. I feel Max start to shake beside me. I pu my hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry Max. She's coming home i promise. This man doesn't keep people long. A week at the most" Magnus says. He has a point.

"M-mr. Bane are you sure?" He sputters. Magnus smiles.

"Max call me Magnus and yes. I'm positive" he says.

"She's going to come home Max. And when she does she won't be any different"

When Alec and Magnus come home for the second time they have,,, Max? Wait why Max? Max comes over and hugs me. He's 12 and doesn't cry but he was partially sobbing. He's tall so his head's in my shoulder. "Shh Max, sh what happened?" Alec looks at me and shakes his head. "Alright calm down. Here we'll go talk. All of us Lightwoods. Minus Clary and Magnus" Clary looks at me with a blank face. I don't think she got it. Alec, Max, Jace- reluctantly- and I go into Alec and Magnus' room. Max sits next to Jace and I and lays his head on my shoulder twirling a piece of string keeping hime distracted from whatever is bothering him. "Alec please explain"

"Well Max was looking for mom and he went into the office and found a note-" Max gives me the note and i open it and read it then pass it off to Jace. "He called me we met and Taki's and talked, and we think step three involves......mom" he says the last part slowly.

"You mean Sebastian has Mom?" Jace says. I nod. "Oh Great. Sebastian has my mom and my mother-in-law. Isn't this just percfe-" and we're cut off by a scream. We rush put into the living room where we find an uncontious Clary and a Magnus lying on the floor bleeding from his back. Alec rushes over and kneels next to Magnus. Magnus lies unblinking, unmoving and his eyes flick from side to side.

"Magnus?" Alec asks softly. Max is standing next to me and is perfectly still like a statue. I look to the arm chair where Simon was and he's gone too. Magnus stands up stiffly cracks his neck and walks out the door. No words said. "Magnus!" Alec calls out after him. Alec runs out the door and follows. I look to Clary and see Jace by her checking her for wounds then tapping her.

"Clary?" Jace says concerned. No response. Oh please don't be dead. Then Alec comes in hunched over and with a black eye. What the Hell is going on here?

"Isabelle w-what's going on?" Max asks obviously freaked out a little.

"I don't know" i say. Then i remember Luke and sprint to his room and open the door to find Sebastian holding Luke down on the floor with a sword. I step forward and Sebastian looks and smiles. Then jumps out the window and disappears. I go over to Luke and help him up. "You okay?"

"I'm fine" he says. "I'm fine. I heard a scream is everyone okay?"

"Honestly-" i start. "I have no idea"

{ALEC}

I race out after Magnus. "Magnus stop please" i plead. He stops turns and smiles at me.

"Oh Alexander if only you knew" His expression changed slightly- "33th Street" then his face hardened and an evil smirk and then punched me in the face and gut and i fell limp against the wall. He runs away and i watch. My eye swelling and tears blur my vision.

"Magnus" i say just barely a whisper. I get up and walk slowly using the wall for support back to the Flat. He throws a mean punch. When i get back Clary is on contious, Jace i paranoid over Clary, Max is standing like a statue and Isabelle's gone. Isabelle comes back out with Luke.

"You were right this is odd"

"See and Simon's missing again" she says. Ha again. Wait no Ha; not funny. Not funny. I sit on the couch and hold my hand over my throbbing most-likely purple eye. "Alec, what happened to you?"

"Magnus throws some mean punches" i say sarcastically but dryly.

"Magnus did that?"

"Before he did he said if only i knew and this isn't like him. He wouldn't hurt a soul who hasn't hurt him. Something's going on." I say. Isabelle disappears into the kitchen and comes out with a cold rag. I place it over my eye. Jace is next to me trying to wale up Clary and is unsuccessful. As much as i didn't like her, she's a part if the family- please don't be dead. The i see her eyes open and she sits up then rushes down the hall. Scared or sick? I hear a hurl. Sick she comes back and sits. She looks at all of us as if we've lost our minds.

"Max? Alec- whats with the? Where's? What-" she says. Then she stares distantly and her expression hardens and she furrows her brow. "Sebastian. I watched him appear in the corner with m-mom. Mom gave me a rune and kissed my head then i saw Sebastian start stabbing Magnus then i passed out. Alec, why is there a cloth on your face?"

"Let's just say don't fight with Magnus" i say i laugh dryly. She just looks at me oddly. "I don't know Clary he went to leave and i went to stop him and he turned around said- only if you knew- and then beat me up and left. Seriously i don't know"

"Well n-now w-what?" Max stammers.
