Kyoya
Finally, classes were over for the day. I don't believe I have ever been more excited to get to the music room, but I do have good reasoning.
Within the host club lies my escape from the one person who has tortured me all day.
Zurui must've had a schedule entirely identical to mine, and she must've done it on purpose.
Each class was nothing but heartrending torture. I kept seeing her, kept winding up near her. I couldn't even bear to look up, lest I look straight into her eyes. Eyes that would no doubt be filled with sadness, most likely because is what I said to her.
All I said might've been too much, but I know how tenacious Zurui can be. Had I gone any easier on her, she would've returned and tried again.
She shouldn't.
Fear No. 2:
Fear of being hurt again.I've been hurt enough, Zurui. Regardless of how I feel towards you, I will have to keep my distance from you.
Regardless of the fact that I. . .
No.
I cannot be.
I heard a snapping sound, followed by the feeling of sharp, jagged metal in my hand. Seems I've broken my pen again. Rather, for the fifth time today.
This time, all six other hosts looked at me in concern and walked over. Haruhi took my hand and examined it.
"Kyoya-senpai, what's the matter? You've broken five pens already."
Hikaru and Kaoru nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Senpai, you've been zoning out all day too." "Not to forget the fact that you actually failed a quiz."
Am I being that obvious?!
"—by Zurui Takishima!"
I snapped my head in Tamaki's direction upon hearing that name. "What about her?"
"You've been distracted by her all day, Mommy! You ran our when you saw her for the first time today, you keep glancing at her in class, and just look at what you wrote on your notebook!"
I looked down at my black book, eyes wide as I looked at what I'd written.
The whole page was filled with her information, but not any basic ones. It was information on what I thought on her intellect, her beauty, her personality, and more. My thoughts on her prolonged absence, how much I wished she had never left. And if wasn't bad enough that I had written down those embarrassing feelings, the hosts had been able to read them.
Hikaru and Kaoru were no doubt interested. "Who is she, Kyoya-senpai?"
I sighed. "She's Zurui Takishima, heiress to the Takishima Group. Quite known for being smarter than most people, not to forget her many admirers due to her charm and beauty."
"Are you one of them?" asked Mori, and I gasped.
"No," I replied, not really believing myself. As wonderful as she was, I wasn't exactly willing to be hurt again.
