A week after I’ve found out that my best friend Sasha died. I never thought that I’d lose a best friend too. Now I’m here all alone in a city trying to find a decent job. I don’t want to spend my summer just sitting around and waste my money on such things, I wanna earn.

I walked inside the bakery store that have a sign WANTED: BAKER

“Uhm… Good afternoon, I wanted to apply for a job?” I said.

“oh Good afternoon Miss. I’m Isabella, Yes. We need someone who can bake.” Isabella said.

“Oh, Good. I’m Megan, How can I know if I’m accepted?” I asked.

“Oh, You can start tomorrow, we need a baker really bad.” She said.

“Oh goodie! Thanks Isabella.” I smiled.

“You can call me Belle- Uhm… How old are you?” She asked.

“I’m Twenty two… How ‘bout you?” I asked.

I felt like a fool asking my manager a question like we’re that close already… Hell… Good luck to me.

“I’m twenty four, So… It was nice talking to you. I still have to get back work. See you tomorrow.” Belle smiled.

“Sure. I’ll be here at five thirty or six.” I smiled.

“You can just go here at six thirty. The shop opens at seven.” She informed me.

“Sure.”

I went out the shop and walk back around the city. I saw subway just around the corner as I’ve heard my tummy rumbled. I was hungry. I haven’t eaten lunch yet.

As I was walking, a car parked right in front of me… A blonde boy with green eyes stepped out of the car and smiled at me.

Yeah, you’ve guessed it right. It was my best friend Steven. I wonder what he’s doing here?

“Where have you been?” He asked harshly.

“Well hello to you too.” I said sarcastically.

“Mags, You’ve left your house last eight before I went to check you out there. Naomi said you’re out here in the city. You should have brought me with you!” He said, well… it came out a little scream for me

“Can you calm down a little bit first?” I said in a cold tone.

“Hey, Maggie… Sorry… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be a little harsh… it’s just that… I don’t wanna lose you again.” Steven said as he opened the front seat for me.

“It’s okay… Just… Nothing.” I sigh

“Well, You wanna hang out to somewhere?” Steven asked.

“I wanna go to the beach.” I suggested.

“Lemme guess… Sunset?” Steven smiled as he gave me a peck on my cheeks.

“Exactly.” I smiled, resting my head on the dashboard as he drove off to the nearest beach. The Last wave

As he parked at the parking area, he opened the passenger seat for me and took a bag of subway on his back seat. Well, he was pretty much prepared for this but yeah, we’re just coping up with each other.

I collapsed at the sand as he sat behind me, wrapping his arms around my body. It was already four in a quarter, few more hours before the sun sets.

Since the beach was pretty much beautiful, I have this urge in me that I really have to swim. Good thing I was always prepared. Bikini’s inside my dress but no- I haven’t brought any towels with me.
