We spent almost the whole midnight together on that lake last evening, I was now in my room all alone and it was eight am. He promised to be here and discussed about the wedding day with our family. Since they already knew what happened last day.
“They already knew about this, I asked for their permission last two weeks ago.” He smiled at me while he said it carefully last evening while we were driving back on my house.
I was still too lazy to stand up, My mind kept playing the slow motion moments last night, How he said those words to me and how his cheeks started blushing while he placed the ring on my finger. I was examining the ring now, The sunlight was filling up my room as its rays strike the diamond on the ring.
I heard bunch of noise downstairs, Laughing, aweing, talking, giggling and many more. I bet Steven and his family was already here so now, I was on my bathroom taking a cold shower and putting on my pale cream dress.
I opened my make-up box and started fixing my face, although I look good even without make-up on, I still get conscious with my freckles. I curled the edges of my hair. I was still stunned with the ring, then there I heard the noise again.
I slowly got down to our living room and saw the very first person that I’m expecting to see. My soon-to-be husband. Aunt Cora was seated beside my mother while his dad was having a coffee and chatting with Steven. Martha and Skylar was talking while Matt was on the phone with his girlfriend.
“Well, looks like the bride was now awake.” My mom joked. Everyone turned their gaze on me.
“So when are you planning to get married?” Aunt Cora asked me while I took a seat beside Steven.
“Uhm… We haven’t really talked about that yet.” I smiled.
“Well, why can’t you just have it next month?” My dad suggested.
“Yeah, That would be great.” All of us said.
“So, Who would be the bride’s maid?” Skylar and Martha asked in union.
“I was planning to have you two.” I smiled.
“Yes!” The both smiled and started hugging each other.
The discussion lasted for two hours, Now, the plan was ready… The colour motifs were gold and white, We’ll be having a church wedding, The food tasting would be next week while the gown would be designed by a friend of my dad who was a dress designer. The cake would be baked by my Aunt Cora while the reception would be handled by my mom.
A little after Nana arrived at the house and hugged me so tight that I still need to find some air or else, I’d be suffocated. She led me to her room upstairs, the one she’d use every time she’d come by here.
“So, where’s your groom?” She joked.
“Haha, Same old Nana. He’s in the kitchen, cooking our lunch.”
“Well, I’d always knew you two would end up being together.”
“Haha… Oh Nana, ever since then you always liked Steven for me.”
“Well, that boy was such a gentleman, I remembered him washing my car every weekend since you and your mom run away from us.”
“He did that?”
“Yes dear… He always asked how you’ve been doing every time he comes around.” Nana smiled as she pulled me closer to her, and wrapped me into one of her bear hugs again.
She got down a little after the chitchat. I went to my room and browsed my Laptop for some pictures and research. What’s best thing about weekends? Work breaks!
