An hour before mom burst into my room, I remembered fixing my hair and putting make ups on. I was having fun all by myself before I picked my book. And now, I still have my pretty light make up and I was about to take it off since it was already seven pm and it was useless for me to sleep with those. It can only trigger acne and that wasn’t a good thing but then, mom burst open the door and telling me about Steven.
“Mom, What happened to Steven?” I asked, nervous on what will be mom’s answer.
“He’s… He’s…” Mom said.
“Mom… What happened?” I asked again.
“Go change first! Open your closet and find a paper bag there.” Mom ordered and closed the door.
I was panicking, thinking about what had happened to my Steven. I quickly grabbed the paper bag inside my closet, not even thinking what it is and putting it on. I just saw the color, it was white and elegant, but I don’t care, Steven is in trouble now… does he?
“Mom, I’m done! Where’s Steven?” I asked quickly.
“He called me and he said he crashed into a tree somewhere. He just told me where he is and asked you to go get him.” Mom said. Like what?! Didn’t he called nine-one-one?
“Okay. I said, grabbing my keys and running to my car as soon as mom handed me the paper including where Steven was right now.
As I get inside my car, I dialled his number.
“Steven… Baby, what happened?” I asked
“Come quick Maggie. Help me… Pl- Please… But- Don’t call Nine-One-One.” He said weakly.
“What! Why on earth didn’t you want me to call nine-one-one?” I asked.
“Please… Hur- Hurry up. I love you.” He said then hung up. Why did he hung up! God, Steven why are you doing this!
I was getting near to where he is, or what the paper said. It was located at the beach… seriously, beach? I got out of my car and started walking toward the entrance. It was dark and quiet, no one was there. There’s no one there. Not even a wreaked Steven’s car or a broken and bloody body of Steven. What the heck? They let me drive all the way across the town just to be left alone in this beach?
“Steven?” I asked, suddenly nervous about the dark. I started walking until I found a light, a single light… but then it went pitched black… I couldn’t see anything… Not even the beach, I can only hear it, but I can never see anything from it.
Suddenly, everything lit up. It was like a Christmas tree on Christmas day… Everything turned into a colourful rainbow lights. It was perfectly arranged… I was standing in the middle of a heart shaped rose petals… white rose… my favourite.
There was flowers everywhere. It was arranged beautifully, Balloons, seats, tables, food, Banner, speakers and torches. Suddenly, a guitar was playing, then I heard Steven’s voice.
“They said I’m crazy for waiting on you,
said I have to move on and let go
but no I didn’t want to,
I vowed to keep waiting as long as the river flow. ” Steven sang
“After years of waiting for you dear,
My love never faded, nor got lost,
I never gave up, or never will I,
I will love you, forever, the most.”
