Chapter 12
My heart was pounding very fast. "Am I really doing this?" I asked myself uncertain.
I scanned the room. The living room was just...the same as 3 years ago. I guess in order to get Crystal back, the demon send me back some years. Artemis was on the floor tied up and muffled, even though he was still unconscious. I inhaled deeply. "Don't do anything stupid", her words echoed. I tried to brush her voice off, since I was in fact, going to do something stupid. Truly, summoning a demon must have been the most stupid thing I could have ever done.
I had no idea how, but I remembered all the sigils, so I grab Artemis and bring him close to me.
-No one will miss you, I whisper in his ear as I stab his stomach and start craving symbols in his body. He woke up immediately and started screaming and moving around panicked.
-I don't have time for your games, I stated as I continued my job. Stop moving or it will hurt more.
Of course he did not listen, but he simply gave up after sometime. Or just got dizzy from the blood loss. I kept checking if he was breathing, just to make sure I was not killing him (again), for no particular reason.
I was not thinking. My mind was blank. Thoughts like "What if the police found out?" or "What if I end up in jail?" I did not care simply...
I started mumbling ancient words or magic, hoping I remember the words correctly. Suddenly the room turned pitch black, as Artemis's body exploded, spilling his insides all over the place. I guess I had achieved my goal?
This time though, even if the place was s black as the midnight sea, I could make out the creature's mouth! It had sharp fangs, but humanlike teeth overall.
-You againnnn, it shrieked.
I could not feel any particular emotion coming from it.
-I want a wish, I said determined. I t did not answer so I continued.
I want time! I want to know and define my own time. I want to be able to prolong it... or end it! I.. want to control it.
The mouth formed a smile. What have I done again?
