CRASH INTO YOU
...🏀...
THE seconds were ticking by on the clock and to everyone in attendance for the Ravens latest game, it seemed not only was Nathan getting greedy with the ball, Daphne just kept getting angrier. She'd just elbowed an opposing player in the nose, knocking the ball from his hands when a whistle was blown, Whitey calling for a time-out. Daphne's jaw ticked before Lucas was nudging her towards the sidelines alongside the rest of the team where Whitey was waiting for them.
"Dammit, this is a team." he looked to Nathan "Scott, you're plain selfish. Get out there and pretend you know each other." He glanced to Lucas and back before turning to Daphne "And you Little Scott, I'm the only one that should be angry around here, control yourself or you're on the bench. All right, let's try and get it together."
Tim put his hand in first, the rest following suit "Ravens on three. One! Two! Three!"
"Ravens!"
As they headed back onto the court, Daphne felt a nudge to her side and looked to Jake "You good?"
"I'm fine." She muttered, glancing to Haley was frowning in the stands and Jake sighed knowingly.
"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Whitey urged, clapping his hand off the clipboard.
Standing off to the sidelines, pom-poms in hand, Brooke glanced to Peyton beside her between cheers "Hey, can I catch a ride with you to Nathan's party later?"
"I didn't think you were going." She mused "I figured you'd be hiding out in Lucas' back seat again."
Brooke smirked "Jealous?"
"No." Peyton scoffed.
"What? I could see it. You're both so broody. You could brood together." Brooke teased before her eyes fell on Daphne who had just swiped the ball, dribbling down court and scoring earning a cheer from their side of the gym "Beside's, who said Lucas was the Scott I was aiming for in that truck?"
"A nice bank-shot from Daphne Scott! Now down by one, if she keeps taking her anger out on the backboard the Ravens just might win this with 60 seconds on the clock." The announcer mused just as Vegas got possession of ball, going to pass it to Nathan only to find him being surrounded "Now the Ravens in bound with the ball. Looks like they're trying to isolate Nathan Scott on the baseline. The Masenberg defence tightens on him. Scott battles through, still working hard to get open down there." Vegas soon gave up, tossing the ball to the next open player "Now Tim Smith, with the ball, working over on the wing. He's dribbling, looking for Nathan underneath, but he's not there."
Tim frowned, stuck in place and unsure as Nathan continued to be blocked, Jake, Daphne and Vegas all finding themselves fighting to get past their own marks as the seconds on the clock neared its end and so he did what he had to and tossed it to the open player in front-- "And now- Oh! Oh! A cross court pass putting Lucas Scott over the basket-- for the win. And it's good! The Ravens win!"
