~~~Max~~~
Amongst everything else, while we were waiting for the bullet to freeze, I got a call from Sunshine saying she saw DJ flying! Of course! Why not? One more thing to worry about. But then she told me that she got it on film.
"Shoot..."
"What's wrong?"
"Sunny? Ah need ya ta delete that video. Dun't post it, dun't save it on yer laptop, dun't let it stay on your camera. Okay?"
"Why? What is she?"
"That's... A long story... But no one can know..."
"Can you tell me?"
I thought for a minute. The guys knew. It wouldn't be that bad. So I told her. She put it on speaker so Ladybug would understand.
"Oh geez..." Sunshine said. "Okay, I'll delete the video. I haven't posted it yet."
"Thanks, Sunny. Yer a lifesaver."
"Anytime. Bye!"
I hung up and pulled Ghost into the kitchen, opening the freezer, "Here we go!" I carefully took out the small bullet and handed it to him. "Now let's hurry. We've only got one try."
He nodded and we ran outside. As he loaded his pistol, the suspense rose. He took a deep breath to keep from shaking then aimed at the dead pig and fired.
Once he nodded at me, I bolted off to grab the pig and inspect it. Just as I thought, it had only shattered once it met the skin.
Ghost groaned, "Now what?"
"Chill, okay? Pun definitely intended. Ah just had to see fer myself that it wouldn't work. That an' it's jus' cool. Again, pun intended."
"So what do we do?"
"Ah don't know. Ice ain't thick enough..."
"Well what's thicker than ice?"
"'Thicker than ice'..." I repeated. I thought and thought. I was missing something. Something obvious. I rethought how I made the ice bullet. Then it hit me. "Ghost! What's thicker than water?"
"Well the saying goes-" His eyes got wide as soon as he got it, "Oh yeah!"
"To the truck! Quick! We gottaa tell Kat!"
