Chapter 8

I stood there frozen. Watching Xavier run up to Kaleb. Xavier pinned Kaleb against the lockers, holding Kaleb by the neck.

"You dick, I wish you would never touch her again!!!" Xavier yelled in Kaleb's face.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" Xavier tightened his grip on Kaleb.

"Don't play shit with me!! I swear if you hit Drew again, I'll kill you!!!" Kaleb broke away from Xavier and stared towards me, with evil in his eyes.

"You little bitch,you told!!! Now you really going to get it!!!" he said yelling at me. Xavier shot after Kaleb and jumped on his back, wrapping his arms around Kaleb's throat.

"Stay the fuck away from her!!!" Kaleb looked at me.

"You'll get it soon!!!" Then Xavier pulled Kaleb to the ground and was throwing punches. A crowd was forming.

I felt someone grab my hand.

"Come on Drew, let's get out of here." I felt them drag me out of the school. Before I got out I was Juliet get into the fight. I nice I got outside it was raining really hard. I looked at who dragged me out of the school. Mason. Anger rose.

"Why did you tell him?!?!" I said screaming, getting soaking wet from the rain.

"Well clearly he was your best friend!!"

"And? because of you who knows what Kaleb will do to me!!!" I said crying and sitting down. I felt Mason sit next to me.

"Drew, you're going to be ok." I looked at him.

" Oh really. How do you know that?" He looked down.

"Because I used to get beat up by my dad." I saw a year come out of his eye.

"I've been hitching rides with people that I don't even know. I have no one now. I sighed.

" I'm so sorry Mason." He looked at me.

"It's alright." I stood up and reached my hand out for him. He looked at me confused.

"Come on. You're coming to my house."

"Why?"

"You deserve a place to stay. And it's raining and you're wet." He smiled and held his hand out. I helped him get up. We walked to my house in the pouring rain.

Once we got there, I showed him upstairs. I went in my older brothers room and got some clothes.

"Here put these on, they are my brother's, Gabe."

"He won't mind?"

"no, he had a wife and children."

"Alright. Thanks"

"Bathroom is second to the last door on the left." He nodded and headed for the bathroom. Once he got in there, I headed for my room. I changed into my tank top, shorts and a hoodie. I heard knocked on my door. I went downstairs and opened it seeing Xavier and Juliet. I pulled them inside.

"So, what happened after I left."

"Well, after i pulled Xavier off of Kaleb, which by the way is beaten up really bad. Xavier got expelled."

"I'm sorry Xavier." He smiled.

"Oh, i don't care." I heard the shower stop upstairs. Juliet looked at me.

"What's up there?"  

"Mason."

"Oh..."

"Well, are you guy going to stay here tonight?" Juilet and Xavier shrugged.

"I guess so."

"OK, go change out of your wet clothes." I said looking out the window at the pouring rain. They nodded and went upstairs and i followed them. 

I saw Mason come out of the bathroom. He smiled and we headed to my room. We sat on mu bed and talk for hours and hours. He was so sweet and funny. He really know how to make me feel better. I looked deep into his beautiful eyes. I'm falling for a guy i don't even know.
