Chapter 10

Kaleb walked closer to me. With his evil smile. He came closer and closer...then grabbed me. I screamed and shot up, waking up everyone. My hair in my face,sweating. I took my hair out of my face. Mason quickly got close to me and asked,

"Hey, you ok?"

"Yea"

"You sure? Your sweating, you look like you were having a nightmare or something." He said with worried in his voice.

"Y-y-yea." I said with a sigh. He just nodded. I put my head back down and looking at the ceiling, listening to the rain outside with the soft wind. I'm to scared to fall asleep. I rolled my eyes and sat up. Got up from the couch and went upstairs. I went to my room and sat on my bed, thinking about everything. I heard someone knock on my door. 

"Come in." Mason walked in and smiled.

"Hey, can't sleep."

"No...Nightmares." I saw him frown, he started to walk towards the bed and sat down.

"You know it's good to talk about it." I slightly smiled and laid down. 

"Well, i guess." He laid down next to me.

"Ok, who's first?"

"Dosen't matter"

"Alright, i'll go first then.." He said with a sigh. I looked at him."

"Well, when my mom died, my dad started to drink a lot. He would come home and beat me up." He took a big breath.

My friends stopped talking to me. I saw my girlfriend sleeping with my worst enemy." I saw his eyes start to water.

"I was  about to give up. But i saw my m-mom and she told me that everything would soon get better." HE said with a small grin.

"So i left when my dad wasn't home and hitch rides with strangers and i found this place." I smile.

"So what about you?" He asked looking at me with his crystal blue eyes. I sighed.

"It started two years ago. Kaleb, the guy every girl wanted. So when he asked  me out, i was so happy" I closed my eyes, took a breath and opened them again.

"Well, one day, i went to his house and i dint do something right. He slapped me."  A tear ran down my cheek. "I couldn't believe what he did to me and he just looked at me, told me to get out of his house." My voice was started to get shaky. 

"But, when we weren't over at his house, he... he acted like we were perfect. like.. h-h-he loved me." Mason wiped my tears.

"I didn't want to tell anyone because i was scared. Now that he know.. I don't know what he'll do to me..." Mason looked at me deep in my eyes.

"Drew, i know we haven't know each other long but, i promise i'll protect you. I smiled

"Thanks Mason."He smiled. He had a beautiful smile.

"How could someone do something like that to someone like you?" He said tucking my hair behind my right ear.

"What do you mean someone like me?" I said with a small smile.

"Smart, funny, sweat, loving... beautiful" I smiled, butterflies filled my stomach. 

"You know what Mason." He looked at me, rubbing his thumb on my cheek.

"I never met someone like you." He smiled, still rubbing his thumb on my cheek.

"And i never met someone like you..."
