Chapter 21

Mason's POV

I heard the sound of a slow heartbeat on a monitor. I fluttered open my eyes and saw i was in a bright brown room. I felt weak, tired and pain all over my body.

"Well, look who's awake." I turned my head to see a nurse.

"Where am I?" I asked with a weak voice. She looked at me with worried eyes.

"You're in the hospital, you and a girl got in a terrible accident." Then, i remember what happened.

"where is she?"

"Who?"

"The girl.. Where is she!" I said while getting up. The nurse placed her hand on my arm.

"You can't go see her, she-" I felt my heart stop.

"She what..?"

"Doctors believe she isn't going to survive. She was beaten really badly and had internal bleeding. The gun shot when through her lungs."

"Please, i got to, i need to tell her that i love her." She looked at me with sadness in her eyes.

"Please before she dies." I said.

"Alright..." She helped me up. My stomach was sore and it hurts but, i didn't care. I wanted to see her once again. The nurse helped me walk to her room and we stood in front of the door.

"Good luck." She said and left. My hand touched the ice cold door nob and turned it slowly. I walked in to the bed. I saw a white with black rims around her eyes with all sorts of wires connected to her. Drew's eyes closed, breathing slow and weak. Drew looked dead. I sat in the chair next to her bed and took her white cold hands while looking at her.

"Drew, you are my life, my love, everything that makes me happy. You are the thing that kept me going, the most beautiful thing i ever saw in my life," I took a deep breath. My voice was shaky, "i don't know what will happen if you die. I would be dead as well, my heart will stop, i wont smile anymore, i would be in the worst pain in my life. I love you Drew." I said crying softly in her hand.

Drew's POV

I could feel my eyes closed. I heard the sound of crying and a heartbeat monitor. I open my eyes slowly and weakly, my body in pain. It was hard to breath.

"M-Mason?" I whispered. He shot up his head up and looked at me with his eyes red.

"D-Drew?" I smiled weakly.

"Drew? You're okay." Mason said smiling and kissed me lightly on my lips, warm and soft. 

"I thought i lost you..." I smiled and felt my eyes dropping again. He looked at me and smile. He got in bed with me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. My head in his chest. Mason kissed my forehead ad i closed my eyes as i fell asleep, safe, in his arms...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~One month later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My parents let Mason stay at our house, since he doesn't have a place to stay. Juliet, Xavier,Mason and I sat on the couch.

"Everything is better now" I said and then someone knocked on the door. My mom went to the door and opened it. I heard a few mumbles and then she looked at me.

"Drew, Mason, can you please come here." My mother said. Mason and I looked at each other and got up. We walked to the door and saw two police men.

"Yes?"

"Are you Drew and Mason?" We both nodded.

"Were you both in the old house on November 13,2011?" We both nodded again.

"Well it says here that you guys left Kaleb Meyers there shot?" The other cop asked.

"Yes we did, self defense." Mason said with the cop nodded with a serious face.

"He looked dead" Mason said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, why?" I asked. The cop sighed.

"There wasn't a body, anywhere to be found..."
