Could It Be Love? - Hermione/Percy

The sun rose over one of the damaged walls of Hogwarts.

High in the tallest tower a young teenager woke as the sun moved and shone in her face. She had a peaceful sleep, well as peaceful as she could have.

'Hermione, you in here' a voice called from outside the room.

'Yeah Ginny I'm in here' she called back her voice breaking as she spoke.

Ginny walked into the room and looked at her. 'Oh Hermione'

Hermione's eyes were red and puffy and she had tear stains down her cheeks, 'How could he Ginny, I loved him and he goes back to her' Hermione whispered before tears started to fall.

'I know, he's a fool Hermione a pompous fool' Ginny said as she sat on Hermones bed and pulled her into a hug.

Flashback

After Harry had killed Voldemort everyone was relieved and estatic that he was finally gone, Hermione looked around the great hall to find Ron. She was going to finally tell him what her feelings were for him. As she glanced around she noticed him in front of Lavender Brown down on one knee. Lavender squeled as Ron swung her around, she obviously accepted the proposal. That was all she could take, without a second glance Hermione ran out of the hall and headed towards Griffindor Tower.

End of Flashback

Hermione and Ginny sat on the bed for a few more minutes. 'Come on mum is looking for you, she noticed your reaction and well, you know what she's like' Ginny said as she stood up.

Hermione got out of bed, used a spell to make her look presentable and followed Ginny towards the Great Hall.

When Mrs Weasley spotted her daughter and Hermione enter the Hall, she dashed forward and pulled Hermione into a hug.

'Hermione dear, I am so sorry, I'm here you, you will never be alone' Mrs Weasley said through tears. 'Im so sorry about Fred Mrs Weasley and if Ron is happy with her then I am' Hermione said trying not to cry.

Mrs Weasley looked at Hermione, then gasped, 'Oh no, they didn't find you last night, oh no, Hermione dear please come sit down' Mrs Weasley led Hermione over to the bench, Ginny followed wanting to know what was wrong.

'Hermione dear, erm, Arthur was approached by a ministry official after the battle yesterday, she was looking for you' Mrs Weasley said.

'Mrs Weasley, once I left here yesterday I had no interaction with anyone until Ginny this morning, what's wrong' Hermione asked worriedly.

Mrs Weasley started crying, 'Oh Hermione, I'm so sorry, Arthur sent an Auror to check on your parents, I'm so sorry darling'

Everyone suddenly heard a scream coming from the Great Hall.

Harry, Ron and Percy ran into the Great Hall to find Ginny holding Hermione who was screaming and tears running down her own face. Arthur walked in and looked at the three of them, 'Boys, Hermione will need us just as much as we need each other in this hour of need' 'Dad what's happened' Percy asked.

'I sent an Auror to check on Hermiones parents, unfortunately Voldemort found where they were hiding, their dead' Arthur said grimly.

Suddenly Percy done something that shocked everyone, he walked up to Ginny and Hermione, put his arms around Hermione allowing Ginny to let go. Percy sat cradling Hermone who was sobbing in his arms. Percy started to cry for the death of his brother and that the girl he loves is heartbroken.

What everyone didnt know is that for over 4 years Percy has loved Hermione, seeing her like this broke his heart.
