Molly flooed home once she made sure Janet was ok, to see Hermione sitting at the kitchen table staring at the letter her grandma had sent her.

"Hermione, dear you ok?" Molly asked as she sat down across from her. Hermione glanced up from re-reading the letter and gave a small smile. "I'm fine Molly just thinking." Heremione stood and went to walk upstairs. As she got to the bottom step she turned round and spoke. "Oh and Molly, can you tell my Grandma I will meet her, but in a few days, and Percy will be with me." With that Hermione walked up the stairs as Percy walked in from the back garden seeing his mum looking shell shocked at the table.

"Percy how did Hermione know I knew her Grandma?" Percy smirked. "Well shes not the smartest witch for nothing mum and well we had put two and two together and worked out where you had gone after I had made her read the letter." Percy sat in the seat Hermione had just vacated, before continuing to talk. "What I want to know though mum is why didnt you tell Hermione that you was in contact with her Grandma?" Percy asked.

Molly sighed, "She asked me not to tell her or her parents as she felt ashamed with what she had done all them years back when she disowned them. She fully regretted it. She explained that she had no choice but to do it as at the time her husband made her to it as he was a muggle and hated anything to do with magic. Hermiones mum didnt inherit any magic from Janet which she was realieved about but then when Hermione started to show signs that she had inherited it she knew that in time she would have to disown them. It was the hardest thing she had to do and one of the things she now regrets. She know that Hermione has every right but to decline her but now that her husband has been gone the last year and that the war is over Janet feels safe enough to come and get in contact with her and her family. She was devastated when she found out thet her daughter and son-in-law was killed and her first thought was to get in contact in Hermione."

Percy could see how upset his mum was getting and as he got up to go comfort her he heard some movement behind him. Hermione had come back downstairs and heard all what Molly had said. "My grandfathers dead? He made my Grandma disown us?" Hermione whispered tears streaming down her face, as she re-entered the kitchen. Molly stood and pulled her into a hug. "Oh Hermione dear, we didnt want you to find out like this, your Grandma wanted to come and tell you all this herself."

Hermione pulled out the hug and started shouted. "OH AND THAT'S SUPPOSED TO MAKE IT BETTER. SOME WOMAN WANTS TO COME AND HAVE A CHAT ABOUT HOW SOME BLOKE FORCED HER TO LIVE LIKE A MUGGLE FOR THE PAST GOD KNOWS HOW MANY YEARS. NOW HES DEAD, AND THE WARS OVER AND IVE GOT NO PARENTS. SHE WANTS TO COME BACK INTO MY LIFE AND IVE GOT TO ACCEPT HER JUST LIKE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED." Percy approached her and pulled her into a hug to try and calm her down.

Harry, Ron, Ginny and Arthur suddenly burst into the kitchen to see who was shouting. "What is going on here?" Arthur demanded as Hermione whispered, "I dont think I can do it Molly." Before she broke down in Percys arms. Arthur turned to his wife to get an answer, but it was Percy who spoke. "Mum has been in contact with Hermiones Grandma, by the sounds of it she has been contact for quite a while." Percy went back to calming down Hermione who was still sobbing in his arms.

Arthur, Ron Ginny and Harry turned looking shocked towards Molly. "You've been in contact with her Grandma. How long for Molly?" Arthur asked. Before Molly could answer they heard the floo chime and a womans voice call out, "Molly are you there?" Hermiones head shot up. " Is that her?" Molly nodded, "Yes, I said ill try and get you to read the letter and ill go back to see her in a couple of hours, i did'nt know she'd floo, im sorry love." Hermione shook her head as if to show it werent Molly's fault and then said something that shocked everyone in the room. "Tell her to give me 30 minutes and to come through but on one condition. I want everyone in this room there with me." With that Hermione left the kitchen and once again made her way upstairs, this time Percy followed her.

Molly made her way to the fireplace and relayed Hermiones message. When she got back, Arthur was staring at her demanding an answer. "Well, I'm waiting Molly." Molly sighed and looked at her husband. "Weve been in contact for the past year. She had read about what happened at the Ministry, and after seeing the photo she knew Hermione was her granddaughter. As her husband was still alive then she couldnt get in contact, he was a muggle and hated anything magic. Once he had died she remembered one of the children was a Weasley. She remembered me from school so she wrote a letter to me, we met up and she explained everything to me. I explained everything to her that had been going on and about the war." "But why didnt she get in contact with them once her husband had died. Why wait till now?" Harry asked. Molly looked towards him. "With the war going on she didnt think it was safe enough. And she didnt know how they were going to react with her coming back into their lives."

"Well judging by Hermiones reaction, I can safely say not very well." Ginny whacked Ron around the head. "Bloody hell what was that for?" Ginny glared at him, "For being an insensitive fool." Harry churtled before turning back to Molly, "Look I can understand that she was scared but she does know that Hermione has lost her parents and properly freaking out after finding out that the grandma that disowned her is actually a witch all along."

They heard the floo flare during Ginnys slap but didnt think nothing of it until they heard someone speak from the doorway. "I do know that my daughter and son-in-law are longer with us Mr Potter. That is not why I have suddenly re-appeared. I have wanted to get in contact with my daughter and her family for sometime but after talking to Molly and finding out that Voldemort might be targeting them we both decided it would be best not to yet and wait until the war ended. Was it a good idea maybe? To me it was not as my daughter and her husband are no longer here and I can not try and re-concile with them but their daughter, my granddaughter is still alive and I will do my damn hardest to prove to her how sorry I am and that I never wanted to disown her but I was forced to. If I could turn back time and change the past and be apart of her life then I would do it in an instant, but I cant. So here I am now, hoping she will try to accept me to apart of her future."

A sob came from behind Janet as she stood at the entrance to the kitchen. As she turned round she was engulfed by a young woman with bushy brown hair. "She heard every word." Percy said as he entered the room.

Janet wrapped her arms around her granddaughter knowing for know she had her, comforting her, doing what a grandmother should do.

Comforting her granddaughter after the lose of her parents.
