It had been three days since Hermione was told that her parents had died. She has barely left the room she shares with Ginny at the Burrow and no one could get her to talk to them.

''Mum, I'm worried about Hermione, she hasn't left her room in three days and she won't speak to anyone'' Percy said as him and Molly were setting the table for dinner. ''Percy dear, people grieve different, Hermione has lost the only family she has, I know what your thinking, we've lost Fred, and yes that may be true but we have other family members to help us through this, Hermione only had her parents and now they've gone all that's going round her head is that she's alone.'' Molly said as she placed a dish of potatoes on the table. ''Erm, mum woud you mind putting a plate up for me and Hermione, I'm going to see if I can bring her out ther bedroom'' Percy asked. ''Ok dear, be gentle she's in a fragile state, DINNERS READY!!!' Molly shouted.

As Percy walked up the stairs, Harry, Ginny, Ron and George walked down towards the kitchen. ''Hey Percy, the kitchen is downstairs'' Ginny chuckled. ''Ill be down in a bit got to do something'' Percy mumbled.

He waited until the others had gone downstairs before he approached Ginny and Hermiones bedroom. Percy stood outside the door listening to see if he could hear any movement from within the room. After a few moments he raised his hand and quietly knocked on the door. "Come in" Hermione mumbled.

Percy entered the room and saw Hermione sitting by the window looking out at the field at the back of the house. As he made his way over to her Percy took in Hermiones' appearance. She sat at the window in the same clothes she came back from Hogwarts in, her hair was tied up in an untidy ponytail, she had dark shadows underneath her eyes from lack of sleep and both eyes were red and swollen from non-stop crying. He placed his hand gently on top of her shoulder. Hermione jumped at the contact and glanced up at his face. "Oh its you Percy, thought it was your mum coming in to check on me" Hermione mumbled as she turned her head to look back out of the window. Percy gave a weak smile, "Can I join you?" Percy asked. Hermione gave a slight nod and moved her legs up towards her to make some room for Percy to sit down. As he sat he took her legs and placed them over his, Hermione glanced towards him as if to say "What you doing?". "You didnt look comfortable when you moved your legs for me to sit" He said answering the unspoken question.

They sat in silence for about 10 minutes until Hermione spoke, "Why have you come up Percy, I heard Molly shout that dinners ready and you Weasley men hate it if you miss a meal". Percy laughed, "Thats Ron who hates missing a meal, I dont mind as much, and anyway I asked my mum to put a couple of plates aside for us both. I am here to see how you are, no-one has really seen you since we came back here 3 days ago, you hardly come out of this room and when you do its only to go to the bathroom or for a quick bite to eat, I'm worried about you Hermione, we all are. Ginny said you have hardly slept and when you do its only when you have cried yourself to sleep, or you wake up becasue of a nightmare." Percy answered gently.

Hermione looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I weren't there for them Percy, I sent them away for protection and they still get killed. What sort of daughter am I? I'm a failure that's what I am. I should have made sure that they were ok before we turned up at Hogwarts but I didnt, and now they are gone, I will not see them again and it's all my fault. How can I sort out their funerals when it is me that put them in the coffins." Hermione broke down sobbing. Percy shocked at her revelations pulled her into a hug and held her close to him. "It is not your fault Hermione, don't you dare blame yourself for their deaths. You done the right thing sending them away from the war. Voldemort was just too powerful and broke through the memory charms you placed on them. It is his fault that your parents are dead. Not yours, your hear me, It is not your fault."Percy said soothingly to her as he held her close to him. It took a few moments for Hermione's crying to subside.

Hermione and Percy sat like this for 15 minutes until Hemrione felt something wet falling on her head, as she glanced up she noticed Percy had started to cry. She sat up and pulled his face to look at her. "Percy I know your blaming yourself for freds' death just as much as I am blaming myself for my parents death. As you have said to me it is not my fault and I believe in time I will stop blaming myself because as you said, I could not have known that something was going to happen to them. And I know you know deep down that you are not to blame for freds death, It will take us both time to realise this." Percy smiled at her words, "I am willing to help you through this Hermione, please allow me to be here for you, all of us want to be be here for you?" Hermione looked at his face full of care and love, she slowly nodded before adding, "As long as you let me be there for you?" Percy nodded and pulled her into a hug,

"Ready to go down and have something to eat?" Hermione chuckled, "Ok Weasley lets go and get you some food, honestly you men and your stomachs". She stood up, ran a brush through her hair before tying it back up into a ponytail and done a quick spell to make her look more presentable and headed out the door. "Hey I am not that bad when it comes to food, have you ever seen how much I actually eat compared to Ron?" Percy exclaimed as he stood up and followed her out of the room and downstairs towards the kitchen. Suddenly they heard someone shout "HEY", Percy and Hermione started to laugh once they realised it was Ron who had shouted.

When they entered the kitchen Molly was clearing the table, whilst Ron was a usual still eating. "Blimey Ron, dinner started over 30 minutes ago and your still eating" Percy exclaimed as he joined his brother at the table. Ron glared at him before turning back to his food. "Leave him alone Percy, he's a growing boy" Molly scolded at him as she turned around to see who had just entered, her eyes lit up as she noticed Hermione had finally come down. Hermione walked over to Molly who in turn pulled her into one of her famous bone crushing hugs. "Oh hermione dear it is nice to finally see you up and about, come sit down next to Percy while I go and warm your food up" Hermione smiled and sat down next to Percy. Ron looked up from his now empty plate and smiled at her, "How you feeling Hermione?". Hermione looked at him gave a slight smile and answered, "Feeling better after having a chat with Percy, it's going to take me time to come round to the fact that I am not responsible for their deaths, but I know that I will move on and hopefully get round to doing something in their honour" "Well we are all here for you Hermione, remember that you are not alone" Ron walked round the table gave her a hug and went to join Harry and Ginny in the living for a game of exploding snap. Hermione looked at Rons retreating back in shock, "Wow, Ron has actually got a kind side to him". "yeah he has, he just chooses not to show it to anyone but family" Percy answered.

Molly came over and placed a plate of food in front of them. "We are all here for you Hermione, I know we are going through problems of our own, but we will always be here for you, dont ever forget that" Molly said as a tear ran down her cheek. Hermione leaned over and caught it with her thumb, "Thanks Molly I appreciate everything you all have been doing, especially you and Arthur. you both have been there for me and took me in when I needed someone the most and I will never forget your kindness, I thank Percy here to for talking some sense into me, if it werent for him, I would still be up in my room." Hermione said looking at the boy sitting next to her.

Percy leaned down and kissed her cheek, "I will always be here for you Hermione, remember that." Hermione blushed and wuickly turned her attention to her dinner.

Molly smiled at Percy knowing that he loved the girl that was sitting next her and that he was too afraid to say anything to her at the moment, "In time Molly, give them time, they will realise that they are meant to be together" She though to herself as she busied herself tidying up.
