Sorry for the language in this chapter, I just felt that Hermione would say it at a time like this.

For the next hour the Weasley children and Harry made idle chit-chat whilst Hermione sat asleep in Percys lap. Ron looked up from finishing a game of chess and asked Percy a question that had been niggling at the back of his mind. "So Percy do you actually like Hermione or are you just stringing her along, because I have noticed the past few days that shes showing some feelings for you?" Percy scoffed, "Are you actually being serious Ron, you are seriously asking me if IM stringing Hermione along, tell me Ron, what have you been doing for the past 3 years. We could all see that she had feelings for you, yeah you may have shown some back but we knew you were stringing her along. You kissed her in the chamber of secrets, then after the battle had ended you proposed to LAVENDER. Who in their right mind would kiss one girl then ask another girl to marry them"

Ron looked to the floor ashamed that what his brother said was right. "I know, I was wrong in stringing her along and I feel really guilty in that, I did develop feelings for her but when we kissed it, I dont know it just didnt feel right. It didnt feel the same as when I kissed Lavender, I know now that yeah I do love Hermione but only in a sisterly way, I proposed to Lavender because I knew that she was the one I truly loved not Hermione. I also know that I should have spoken to Hermione before I proposed but it was in the heat of the moment. I was relieved that the battle was over, grieving over loosing Fred, I suppose I wanted a bit of happiness to happen to me at that moment. Im sorry for how things have turned out I truly am. Im just glad that Hermione has forgiven me and is still my friend."

Everyone looked at Ron gobsmacked by what he had just admitted, Molly and Arthur who had come into the room at the start of his speech, looked at him speechless. "Its not us you have to apologise to Ron, its Hermione." Arthur said. Ron looked up only noticing his mum and dad were standing in the room. He looked at the sleeping form of the girl he thought he loved and sighed, "I know dad, I just havent found the time with everything that has been going on." Arthur nodded before pulling Molly into his arms. Percy looked at his brother, "Id leave it a few days though Ron, and to be honest mate, she hasnt truely forgiven you yet" Ron looked deflated. "Do you blame her Ron, you broke her heart, shes not going to forget this any easier then shes going to forget that her parents are dead, women have got really impressive memories, Hermione more so" Harry said. Ron nodded in agreement knowing how smart Hermione was she was not someone to forget anything quick.

After 30 minutes Molly and Arthur stood up, "Right time to go" Molly choked out before Arthur pulled her into a hug. Percy gently shook Hermione awake. "Hey 'Mione its time to go" Hermione opened her eyes and stared up at Percy. "I dont think I can do this Percy, Im scared that I'm going to let them down" she said as a tear fell down her cheek. Percy brushed the tear from her cheek, "Its going to be ok 'Mione, its going to be ok, Im here for you, we all are, you are not letting them down" "But I havent told any of my family that they are gone, I should have told them, Im a bad daughter, they should be at their funeral Percy and their not." Hermione started to sob. Percy glanced up at his dad, "You guys go on ahead, well be along in a minute." Arthur nodded to his son and ushered everyone out the room and to the fireplace so they could floo to where the funerals were being held.

Percy placed Hermione in the chair and knelt down in front of her. "Hermione look at me, please, look at me" Percy pleaded as he took her hands into his. Hermione looked at him. "Your family is going to be there Hermione, because we are your fmaily now, not that bunch of stupid fucking wizard hating muggles that disowned you, your mum and dad because you are a witch. They are not worth your tears 'Mione, trust me, if its still bothering you in a few days we can go together to your relatives house to speak to them." Percy said showing a little smile. Hermione looked at him through teary eyes, she leaned slowly foward and placed her lips on top of his. Percy stiffed at the contact, shocked that Hermione had made such a bold move, but he then molded his lips against hers once he realised it was something he had been wanting to happen for a long while now. Hermione suddenly broke the kiss, "Omg, Percy I am so sorry, I shouldn't have done that" she said rambling as she tried to stand up. Percy held her in place in the chair, "Hermione, its fine, I-er-actually quite liked it." he said looking at her sheepishly. "Really?" Hermione asked. Percy nodded before drawing her into another kiss.
