Tasha's POV:

Jake starts talking about relationships and jokingly I got up from the table, if he follow me then it's awesome, if he doesn't no biggie. I get out on the street as it starts to down pour. I realize he's right behind me. He grabs my wrist. "Tasha wait!' He says yelling after me.

"It's sorta raining!"

"Promise me!"

"Promise you what?"

"That you won't run away from me like this!"

"I won't. It was a test and you passed. I think I might want this!"

"Good," he says grinning.

"Jake, can we go inside now?"

"No shut up and kiss me!" He commands. His hands are suddenly on my waist. My skin is warm from his touch. We intensely stare at each other. He laughs and his lips meet mine. Instantly, I'm warm in this cold rain. It's almost as if the world around us has stopped. My fingers instinctively run through his hair and he deepens this kiss. I break the kiss and he stares at me.

"Jake, can we go to my house or yours?"

"Sure let's go to my house. I want to know you more," he says with a smirk.

"That might be good because right now all I truly know is your lips."

"Do you have any other classes today?" Jake asks with a small smile.

"Not till 8 and I have Mr. James."

"Ok good. I'm in that class."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah. I skipped it freshman year. I was only here part time because of my daughter."

"Oh.. Wait I thought you said we were going to your house?" I stop walking for a second.

"We are."

"Why are we at my building?"

"No way. It's my building too!"

"Woah." We walk in silence down the sidewalk. He holds my hand and opens his door, which is across from my room. His apartment is much like mine, except his is much cleaner. We sit on the couch and just talk. He tries to give me some wine, but I refuse. Out of no where he starts tickling me and I lay on the floor of his living room laughing, when my phone starts ringing. "Jake, be quiet it's my sister."

"Tashy, what is this I hear you are out on a date with a guy!?" Leigha says overly excited.

"It's not a date. I'm hanging out with a guy, that fact is true."

"Oh. Well Emmy misses you and wanted to talk to you," Leigha says quietly.

"Put her on!"

"Aunt Sissy!" Emmy's little voice squeals.

"Hi Miss Emma-Leigh."

"How's your far away house?"

"It's good. I miss my house back there next to you!"

"When are you coming back?"

"Hopefully soon babygirl."

"Okay. Mommy says I have to let you back to your date. Mommy wants to know if he's hot?"

"Tell your Mommy she might find out someday!"

"She said your being a snot and she isn't gonna call you until later this week!"

"Ooh doesn't bother me. Bye Emmy!"

"Bye Aunt Sissy. Love ya!"

"Love you too." The line goes dead and he stares at me.
