Chapter 9

Gaara POV

'What's taking them so long?'

"Man, what are they doing back there. They're taking forever."

"Shut up Kankuro! Didn't you listen to when KuroKage-sama was with Yoru? He was devastated! He thought he killed her! He's probably just apologizing to her. He felt really guilty."

Temari glared at Kankuro then looked at the hallway leading to Yorus room.

"She has a point. Even though he did it for the sake of others, he still didn't want to hurt her."

"Whatever." Kankuro looked away and crossed his arms.

"I'll go see what's holding them."

I started to walk down the hall. When I heard Yoru and the KuroKage talking.

"I'm sorry Yoru. I didn't mean to hurt you so bad. I-"

"It's ok Yoshino. You had to do what you had to do. I'm not mad at you."

'Those two are really close.' When I turned the corner I was met with the scene if Yoshino and Yoru kissing. My eyes widened and I froze. My chest felt like it was being squeezed.

'What. What is this feeling?'

I looked back up and saw them forehead to forehead.

"I love you Yoru."

I closed my eyes then walked away.

"So what was the hold up?" Temari looked at me curiously.

I opened my eyes than looked at them.

"Just as you said. He was apologizing."

Right after I said that they both walked into the reception area.

"Sorry we took so long. We had to clear things up." Yoshino said while scratching the back of his head.

"O...oh it's no problem KuroKage-sama!"

"Heh why so red Temari?"

"Sh... shut up Kankuro!"

Both Yoshino and Yoru laughed then looked at each other. They both smiled then laughed again. It was like they had some unspoken language with each other.

"I'm hungry. How bout we go get something to eat huh?" Yoru asked while rubbing her stomach.

"I agree. I'm starving too."

"When aren't you hungry Kankuro?"

They all chuckled and followed me out. We made our way to a near by ramen shop and sat down.

Yorus POV

When we walked out of the hospital the village looked. Destroyed. There were collapsed building everywhere and a lot of debris. Blood stains were splattered in some areas but body's weren't around.

'What happened here?'

After a couple moments of walking I started to hear whispers and feel stares of other people on me.

"Monster."

"Why didn't the Kazekage or KuroKage kill her"

"Murderer"

My eyes widened at their comments. I lowered my head and stared at my feet.

'No. Not again.'

I felt someone take my hand and intertwine their fingers with mine. I looked up at the owner of the hand and was met by the hazel eyes of Yoshino. He gave me a reassuring smile then mouthed 'it's going to be ok.' I gave him a small smile in return.

'I sure hope so.'

We walked into a near by ramen shop where Yoshino let go of my hand. After we ordered and sat down I felt like more people were staring at me. I lowered my head again and started fidgeting. I hate when people stare at me. My heart started to beat faster and my breath quickened.

' I.... I can't breathe!'

I felt my self start to panic, my eyes started to look around frantically.

'I have to get out of here!'

I stood up and was about to run out when a pair of arms wrapped around my waist.

"If you have a problem with my friend here I suggest that you take it up with me instead if being the cowards that you all are."

I looked up at Yoshinos glaring face. His hazel eyes were now a bright electric blue and his hair was turning to a blue also.

"Yoshino. Please calm down."

I calmed myself as much as I could and got out of his grip. He looked at me then took a deep breath. The blue in his hair disappeared and his eyes turned to their normal hazel. He took my hand and led me to my seat. I sat back down and looked at the food that was now placed there.

'I'm not hungry anymore.'

I continued to stare at the bowl full of steaming ramen when someone spoke beside me.

"You should eat you haven't eaten in a week."

My eyes met Gaaras teal orbs. I saw concern in his eyes then looked back at my bowl. Just when I was about to refuse to eat my stomach started to growl. I felt my face start to heat up as I put my hands over my stomach.

"Looks like someone changed their mind." chuckled Yoshino.

I playfully glared at him then started to eat my food.

After everyone finished we paid then left. We walked to the Kazekage Mansion and sat down on the couches.

"I want to know what happened."

"What do you mean?" I looked over at Temari who was trying to act dumb. I just gave her a blank look then looked at Gaara.

"What happened after my mind was taken over." I stated.
