The Shadow and The Sand ( Gaara love story)

Chapter 12

Yorus POV

"So you want to go back home?"

I looked at Yoshino who was sitting across from me. We were currently sitting in a hotel room that Yoshino insisted on staying in. I told him how I want to go home because I missed everyone. But... it seems like he thinks their something more to it.

"I don't think that you want to go home because you miss everyone. Well, not the entire reason you want to go back. Did something happen between you and Gaara?"

I sighed as he questioned me. I honestly didn't want to tell him the real reason I wanted to go home. Well.... the main reason anyway. You see Yoshino actually likes me. A lot. He's told me multiples of time that he loves me. But he knows that I only love him as a friend. Yet when ever he gets the chance he likes to be lovey with me. Which explains why he kissed me at the hospital. And so when it comes to other guys he's kind of both protective and jealous.

"Something did happen right? What did he do?"

Surprisingly he said calmly. I looked at his face. His eyes were closed an he was breathing evenly.

'I guess he's trying to be calm for my benefit.'

"Ok. I'll tell you. The reason why I want to go back is because.... because, well, I do probably, maybe, have a little crush on Gaara. And I feel like if I stay as his guard that my emotions will get in the way. I don't want to be the reason that this village loses a great leader or any great ninja."

Yoshino had opened his eyes while I spoke. A thoughtful look on his face.

"I want you to be happy Yoru. But, is this really what you want? Do you really want to leave someone that you like? And by the way you said it. It seems like you aren't sure about your feelings for Gaara. I know you better. Stop trying to force yourself to like someone you barely know! I don't want to see you hurt Yoru. And I'm not just saying that because I love you, but also as a brotherly figure and one of your best friends!"

I looked down guiltily. Of course Yoshino saw right through me. He knows me better.

"I'm so selfish. I'm only thinking of myself. For what? The fact that I'm forcing myself to like someone that I don't even talk to. But please Yoshino just find someone else to take my spot. Please!"

I pleaded with Yoshino, I felt tears start to well up in my eyes.

"I don't want to stay here anymore! The looks the villagers give me are the same ones that our villagers gave me before! They all think I'm a monster. A cold blooded murderer! I'm not that person anymore! I don't kill for pleasure anymore! And.... And I just don't want to start all over again."

Yoshino gave me a sympathetic look.

"Don't look at me like that."

He straitened up, intertwining his fingers together then sighed.

"Fine. If that's what you wish than do as you please. Go pack your things we'll leave as soon as your ready. Ill decide who your replacement will be when we get back home."

I wiped my eyes, then nodded. We both stood up and Yoshino walked me to the door. I was about to turn and leave until I was pulled into a hug. Yoshino kissed my forehead then held me at arms length.

"You'll be ok."

I only nodded at what he said then turned and left.

When I walked out of the hotel I immediately felt the stares of people.

'Murderer'

'Monster'

'Freak'

"Go back from where you came from monster!"

When I turned to find out who said that my shadows protected me from a couple of kunai knives that were thrown at me. My eyes widened,

'No! Not again!"

After I thought that I was met with more things being thrown at me. My shadows jumped up to protect me from the assault.

"Monster!"

"Die freak!"

"You should have died!"

I covered my ears and started to kneel down.

'No! Stop leave me alone!'

I felt more people continue to throw things at me. Making my shadow shield become thicker as the objects seem to become more frequent and heavier.

"Come out you freak!"

"Yeah you deserve this!"

"You killed my family!"

'No! It wasn't my fault! I didn't kill them! That wasn't me!'

'The real monsters are them! How dare they try to hurt you! I'll make them pay!'

'No Kimera don't! They don't know!'

'No Yoru! They must pay for what their doing!' Kimera yelled.

I clenched my head in pain.

'I won't let you win Kimera! I can't let them fear me anymore!'

I screamed as I felt a ugly pounding in my head.

'Go to sleep! I will show them what a REAL monster is!'

I screamed again and gripped my head harder. Kimera was forcing herself to take over.

'No! I won't let you take over!'

'To late girl. Because I already did.'

My eyes widened I looked at my body which was in half possession. I was still in my shadow shield which villagers were now accompanied by ninja who were using jutsus hoping to weaken my ultimate defense.

"Pathetic humans."

My voice came out as a demonic growl.

"Come out monster!"

"Face us freak!"

"Pathetic humans! You will pay for what you did! You want to see a real demon? A real monster!"

The villagers froze when they heard my voice. I started to lower my shield. My body now completely in demon form.

"Why so shocked?! Never seen a real demon before?! Or are you just shocked by the fact that she's fighting back! Isn't this what you wanted?!"

I let out a roar then swung my snake tail crashing it into a near by building. The villagers screamed and started to run away from me.

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you all!"

I chased after some of the villagers catching some with my clawed hand while managing to bite some. I used my shadows to catch some of the villagers. Before I got a chance to crush them I was hit by a wall of sand.
