Aphmau's pov:
"Princess it's time to get up." I roll over my bed and get up. I rub my eyes. "Did you stay up reading last night?" "Yea... I couldn't help it," I sighed. I changed and walked downstairs. "Morning, mother, father!" I greeted them smiling. "Morning my little one. Did you get a good night's rest?" Mother asked. "Haha... No... You see I stood up all night really..." I nervously said. "You have to stop reading so much at night," father said. "Zack. Let her read. It's good for her anyway," mother spoke up. "I-I know that Sylvanna. But it's going to affect her sleeping schedule, and I don't need her to start walking up in the afternoon once again," father said,"Anyway... Aphmau we need to discuss about something important."I look up and place my fork down. "Is there something wrong father?" I asked slightly getting nervous. "Aphmau, as you know. O'Khasis has been becoming a huge threat upon Pheonix Drop since Donna and Logan's wedding... Even though you're going to absolutely hate what I'm going to say... hear me out. Since O'Khasis has been becoming a huge threat, I am going to assign you a personal guard-" "WHAT?! FATHER YOU CAN'T DO THAT! I CAN PROTECT MYSELF!" I rebelled. "Aphmau, sweetie. This is for your own safety," mother said attempting to calm me down.
"I know that. But I don't want a personal guard. It's weird that someone has to watch over my shoulder. Why can't Laurance be my personal guard if anything?" I asked. "Aphmau, you and Laurance may be close friends. However Laurance is an outstanding guard and we need him," father spoke. "King Zack! Garroth is here!" Dante announced. Oh you got to be kidding me! I turn my head around to see a man slightly behind Dante. Go away! "Greetings sir Garroth!" Father greets. Wait... Garroth? Isn't that the dead eldest son of O'Khasis name? Am I the only one who even notices?! "Greetings King Zack. Greetings to you too Queen Sylvanna and Princess Aphmau," Garroth spoke. End me now!
"Greetings sir Garroth. Thank you for coming all this way to become my daughter's personal guard," mother thanked. Can we stop with all the greetings. "I swear I'll protect your daughter with all my life," Garroth said. This now just sounds cheesy. "Aphmau! Show Garroth around!" Father spoke. "B-But father I barely touched my food," I said. "Nonsense, just show Sir Garroth around. "Yes father..." I stand up and walk over to Garroth. "Let's go, shall we?" I fake smiled. Garroth nods. We walked out of the castle and walked.
"Look. I don't trust you in the slightest. Especially since you have the name of the eldest son of O'Khasis that passed away," I told him, not looking at him. "I understand, Princess Aphmau." Garroth said. "You can drop the formality as well..." I said,"Anyway this is a maid cafe, owned by a Meif~Wa named Kawaii~Chan." I said as we passed by Kawaii~Chan's maid cafe. Garroth stutters," It-it's so pink!" "Kawaii~Chan likes pink a lot," I chuckled,"Up there is Cadenza's Dress Shop."
As we approached Cadenza's Dress Shop, the one and only Laurance appeared. "STOP NAGGING SO MUCH!" Laurance yelled at Cadenza, closing the door. I stopped walking,"What happened now Laurance?" "She's being mean as usual- Oh! Hello! My name is Laurance!" Laurance introduces himself. "Hello, Laurance. My name is Garroth," Garroth introduced himself. Wait... Didn't Laurance say there was someone named Garroth who could be a member of the Jury of Nine if he was assigned?! "Wait... Garroth from the guard academy?" Laurance asked. "Yes.. That's me," Garroth said. "Still refuse to have people see your face huh?" Laurance teased a little. Now I'm curious... THANKS LAURANCE! "Y-yea... I don't see the point of people seeing my face," Garroth said. "Anyway what are you doing here?" Laurance asked. Before Garroth could speak, I spoke up,"He's my personal guard now..."
"Really? Well watch out for her. She can be a handful," Laurance told Garroth. "And what does that suppose to mean?!" I asked Laurance. "Oh nothing~" Laurance smirked, patting my head. I pout,"Rude."
