chapter 17 The Stranger

*3 weeks later in Phoenix Drop *

Aphmau pov:
I get up from my bed and start to change into my clothes.

After I finished getting dressed, I went down I saw my father, Katelyn, and along with the two O'Khasis Guards. (Some of the eps from season 1 switched for the book) "Good morning Lady Katelyn," I said. "Good morning Princess Aphmau," Katelyn said back. "Good morning father," I said to him. "Good morning sweetie," my father said. I sit down and started eating. After I was done eating, I got up and took my plate to the sink. I was walking to go to Garroth's room when Katelyn stopped me. "I'm sorry to stop you but I'm returning to O'Khasis and then coming back," Katelyn said. "Why?" I asked. "To-today is Jeffory's trial, but I also need Jaylene..." She said. "Why do you need Jaylene?" I asked. "She's the only one that can negotiate with everyone in the court room very well, including that monster Zane" Katelyn said while looking down. "I'll get her," I said.

*time skip at docks*

"Katelyn!" Jaylene said, catching Katelyn's attention. "Jaylene!" Katelyn and Jaylene walk towards each other, giving each other big hugs. Jaylene pulls away from the hug, "Aphmau told me what's been going on, let's waste no more time" Jaylene said. Before they could go on, Katelyn stops Jaylene in her tracks,"Wait, you haven't heard?" Katelyn asked. Jaylene shakes her head,"No, I've been in Natas the entire time. Aphmau just now filled me when while we were going through the portal." Jaylene said. "Well then come on let's go!" Katelyn said. Jaylene transformed into her demon slayer form and teleported Katelyn, the two O'Khasis Guards, and herself. Please let, Jeffory the Golden Heart win. He has put his life at risk for mine and so many others. He deserves better.

As I was walking to plaza I overhear Corey and Molly fighting about Irene knows what. Corey wants to move the statue to a place where it won't disturb anyone. But Molly thinks it's disrespectful to move the Irene statue, and she also thinks it should stay in its current location so it can be admired. A few minutes fly by and their argument finally comes to a close. Corey orders me to collect some wood, and I obey. I equip myself with an axe and I start chopping down trees. Several swings later, and I find myself drained of energy. I take a few steps back, and drop the axe on the ground and I try to find a spot to rest. Then I see a boat that is only a few yards away from the shore. Being the curious person that I am, I make my way towards the shore, and so does the boat.
