Garroth's pov:
I was with King Zack, Queen Sylvanna, and Aphmau in the dining room. Aphmau was angered by the fact King Zack said that Aphmau and Zane might have to get married. I can't help but be pissed off as well. "Father I'm not going to marry Zane. You can't just say this out of the blue!" Aphmau yelled. "You're doing this for Phoenix Drop!" King Zack argued. "Why does everything have to be resolved by arranged marriages or war?!" She does have a point. "Let's calm down you two," Queen Sylvanna attempted to calm them both down.
"... I've lost my appetite," Aphmau stood up and walked away. I got up and catched up with her. "Sorry for back there....I-I just can't- I don't want to get married." "It's alright... I may not understand personally since I'm not royalty... Yet I understand," I lied. Especially since I was suppose to marry the daughter of Scaleswind. Aphmau sighs and continues on walking. As we continue on walking we both see Laurance talking with a girl. "A traveler?" Aphmau walks towards Laurance and the girl with me following along.
"Hey Aphmau, Garroth, this is Lillian she's a traveler and she knows some things about O'Khasis!" Laurance smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you, your majesty," she bows. "No need for bowing," Aphmau said. Lillian stands back up,"Anyway, Laurance here told me you wanted to know about O'Khasis?" "Y-Yea... Has anything happened recently?" Aphmau asked. "Well. There's a rumor going around that the head guard of the Jury of Nine; Serenity the Silencer was killed by the High Priest of O'Khasis. Which is why no one has seen her in a month." When she said that Serenity was probably killed by Zane. It broke my heart. Laurance had the same heartbroken expression himself.
Damn you Zane! "Did he do anything else?" Aphmau asked. "Well supposedly the High Priest has been going around asking for something. I can't be sure of what though. My deepest apologies," Lillian apologized. "It's not a problem... Thank you..." Aphmau thanked. "Anyway I'm going to do some exploring around Phoenix Drop... If you'll excuse me," Lillian walked away leaving the three of us here. "I-I... I should go, I gotta go back on duty, cya guys around," Laurance walked off, now leaving Aphmau and myself. How does he know Serenity? "I wonder what Zane is looking for," Aphmau wondered. "Well if he's a High Priest, wouldn't it have something to due with Lady Irene?" I wondered. "Hmm... Most likely..." Aphmau agreed,"Anyway, what do you wanna do?" "Umm... I'm not sure," I rubbed the back of my helmet.
Aphmau sighs and looks up at the sky. "You could do your thing... I'm going back to bed..." Aphmau started to walk away. I walked along side her all the way back to the castle. We walked upstairs to Aphmau's bedroom. "You could go do something. Night," Aphmau yawned and closed the door. What am I going to do... I could probably go keep an eye on the traveler. I walked back downstairs and almost out of the castle. "Sir Garroth, what is wrong with Aphmau?" King Zack asked. "Princess Aphmau is resting in her bedroom, King Zack," I bowed. "Come back in a few minutes Garroth, now you can take your leave," King Zack said. "Thank you, your majesty," I bowed once more and walked away.
Now... Where is she? I look around hoping to see the Lillian girl. As I walked around I looked at alley ways and such. Where could she have gone? I then spotted Lillian. She was acting sneaky. I tried to hurry and be quiet. Which is difficult since I'm wearing armor. She entered a alley way. I stand by a house next to it. Damn, she could get away from the other side.
She took out a communication amulet from her pocket and put it up to her face. "Sir. The princess seems to still be wanting information about O'Khasis in a way to take you down. To me it seems they're still on high alert-" Someone stepped out from the other side of the alley. It was Laurance. Lillian attempted to run from my side. I step out so she ended up bumping into me. I yanked the communication amulet out her hand, drop it and stepped on it. Laurance ran up to us and grabbed her.
