New Game

Chapter 2

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S INSIDE OF ME?" I yell at them.

   Right on que, a powerful blue blast shoots out of my hand and hits one of the mirror walls, shattering it to a million pieces. Odin and Thor stare at the mirror, but both have very different expressions on their faces. Thor's is of shock and fear, Odin's is of awe and greed. Odin looks like a kid that's been given a life time supply of candy.

   My hand starts to shake and I bring it close to me, cradling it. What the heck is going on? I shout in my head. I look closer at my shaking hand and see to my great horror shining blue liquid running through my veins. First brainwashing, now this? Why do you hate my universe? Why?

"H-how d-d-did that just happen?" I ask them both.

"As I said, the Tesseract has great power. You just proved that point right there." Odin points at the mirror.

   The color in my face drains away. I plop down on the floor, shocked. Why does strange stuff like this always happen to me? What did I ever do wrong?

   It's been a couple of weeks since Kyra's death and Bucky is still wearing holes into the rugs and carpet. His mind and heart are at war. His mind tells him that Kyra is dead while his heart says that she is still alive. He doesn't want to tell Ogie incase his heart is wrong and she is indeed dead. Bucky hears a knock and looks at the door to see Steve walk in.

"Hey, Buck. How ya feeling?"

"Like I'm missing my heart," Bucky replies and sits on his bed.

"I know exactly what you are going through. When Peggy..... when Peggy died, I felt like there was this black hole in my heart that was where she once was."

"Do you miss her?"

"Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. But, I know that she's in a better place where no one can harm her. I bet Kyra and her are smiling down at us and shouting that we should go run four miles," Steve says with a smile and a laugh.

   Bucky laughs, "Yeah, they were alway going on how we should train more. Man was I sore afterwards."

   Steve laughs, "Yeah, I was sore for a couple of days. You know what might just cheer you up?"

"What?" Bucky asks and eyes Steve skeptically.

"Thor is coming to visit and I think it's time that the two of you met face to face. Plus, Ogie would love the stories that Thor always tells. Ogie looks up to you and won't go if you don't go. So, you have no opption but to go."

   Bucky sighs, "Fine, I guess I'll go and meet this friend of yours."

   Steve smiles and pats him on the back, "Thanks, Buck."

Supper short I know. Next chapter should be longer.
